Reviewers highlight the unique Sistine Chapel replica setting, creative multi-course menus, and attentive service as primary positives. Recurring themes include the immersive atmosphere and the owner's personal interaction with guests. However, lower-rated feedback cites the high price point relative to food quantity, limited menu choices, and inconsistent service experiences, including instances of perceived rudeness or excessive owner interruptions.

This is a bucket-list worthy place! The chef himself painted the interior of the entire restaurant to mirror the Sistine Chapel! The seven course meal is life-changing good, the catacomb lounge beneath where you can order smoking drinks before dinner is something you will not find anywhere else in the world. We are very lucky to have Paco and his family here in Waterloo. I’d give a six star rating if I could!!

Such an amazing experience! Was absolutely great with all the right textures and taste. Can definitely tell they have perfected what they serve! The drinks were so well made and you can definitely tell they put their time into their perfection. Was absolutely amazing service and all around great time. The artwork was so awesome and so well done we will definitely be purchasing some in the future. Owner was so nice and took time with everyone that came in Can not believe someone rated and complained about the menu and not being able to choose what they get to eat. Ma'am that's part of the experience. Trashing a name because you are so entitled is insane! We will be returning every time there is a new menu! Can't wait to come back

A Divine Dining Experience
Capella Magna is nothing short of extraordinary. Tucked inside a breathtaking replica of the Sistine Chapel, this weekend-only dining experience feels more like a journey than a meal. The space itself is awe-inspiring, but what truly elevates it is the seamless blend of art, atmosphere, and hospitality.
Each course of the seven courses is beautifully composed, offering bold creativity, flawless execution, and a deep sense of story. Though the menu changes regularly, the level of care and imagination behind every plate is consistent - and exceptional.
What makes Capella Magna truly special, though, are the people. Jeckie, the maître d’, brings charm and warmth to every interaction. From sharing tales of global adventures to the small, thoughtful gestures that make you feel genuinely welcome, he sets the tone for the whole evening. Chef Paco Rosic, the visionary behind both the venue and the menu, even took time to greet us - his passion for both art and food is felt in every detail.
Capella Magna is not just a restaurant - it’s a singular experience that stirs the senses and the soul. We’ve been twice now, and it only gets more magical. This is a place to return to, again and again.

The absolute best restaurant I've ever been to. Every time I go it's incredible. I'd eat any dish they make, because every dish I've eaten here is delicious and beautiful. Drinks are fantastic too. The artwork and atmosphere are totally unique and captivating. Service is beyond anything I've seen elsewhere. Family run, fun to watch them do their thing. Worth every penny.
