We have been with Total Wealth Planning (TWP) since 2008. For several years, we had been planning for retirement and seeking a firm that could assist us with the overall retirement landscape. This included such things as four state retirement plans, stocks from an ESOP plan, management of cash reserves, Social Security planning, benefit plans, Long Term Care plans, legal documents such as Wills and Powers of Attorney, Trust Funds, risk tolerance, investment strategy, and investment goals. TWP guided us through the entire process including outside assistance from legal firms and Specialists. Our philosophy of 30% conservative investments and 70% growth has served us well providing us with income, money for donations, trips and visits, and maintaining our live style.
Relative to their openness, transparency, and technical qualifications, they are excellent. They are kind, considerate, available, and quick to react and make requested changes. They inform us in a timely manner of recent tax, economic, and investment news. They are thorough and patient in responding to our uncertainties and lack of investment knowledge. We meet face-to-face and calibrate the overall portfolio, needs, performance, legal changes, etc., annually. And they are always available via phone, texts, and emails as needed.
The bottom line is TWP is OUTSTANDING! If we had to do all of this over again….it would be TWP. They make you feel that you are part of a family and truly care about what they do and how they treat their clients. We would recommend TWP in a heartbeat!

My Wife and I realized that our retirement would heavily rely upon our combined 401(k) and IRA savings. However, neither of us felt inclined to be an active investor. We decided we needed a lot of help from an investment advisor.
We sought advice from a good friend concerning advisors. He recommended Howell Financial Advisors (now Total Wealth Planning). We've not had reason to regret taking his advice.
We take comfort from the fact that TWP is a fiduciary. Their fees are more than offset by the overall performance of our investment portfolio. We also like the fact that TWP provided us with a plan that aligns its profile among the classes of investments that is appropriate for our age group. The account is actively managed and rebalanced on a regular basis.
Bottom line. We are pleased with our experience and we recommend TWP to those with similar financial needs.
