I highly recommend Colter of Castle House Kennels. I had done a lot of research looking at trainers for my two Golden retrievers considering driving hours away and he ended up being less than 20 min away from me! Colter invited me out halfway through the training to show me the commands and we went through them again the day I picked them up. Night and day difference. My dogs are very obedient now and my wife is very happy. Happy wife, happy life right?!?!
They even join me at the office a few days a week!

Without a doubt the best trainer in the southeast. I left my field bred golden with Colter for 5 months and was super impressed with the results I received. Her first duck season she did really good the first few times out and even better after she got some real world experience.
This was my first time sending a dog to training and I was nervous about how the dog would do and if the trainer was actually taking good care of her. Colter does training session with the owner and the dog and from the very first training session I was more nervous about if my dog was going to even want to come home with me lol.
You will not find a better trainer when it comes to knowledge, application, and care for your dog.

We sent our golden retriever to Colter because she was quite unruly. Our kids couldn’t even interact with her because she was constantly jumping on them or tackling them. She wouldn’t listen to a single command. We got her in hopes to have keep her inside 24/7, but her behavior made it impossible. As a last resort, we reached out to Colter for help. She’s been back a few days now and the results are honestly astounding. She’s a completely different dog. She has yet to jump on my kids or tackle them. She has followed almost all commands given and is easily living her best life inside. It’s the best money we’ve spent and it just so happened to be super affordable compared to other trainers we got quotes from. You can tell he loves these dogs and takes pride in his work. I’d use him again for any future training needs.

Cannot say enough good things about the job Colter did with my dog. Communicated clearly throughout the entire process and made sure we understood where we were at and needed to be. I’m not sure there’s anyone out there working harder for the dogs. He wants the dogs to succeed on a personal level. I fully recommend anybody that is considering Colter at least give him a call and discuss with him. We had zero regrets or concerns working with him. Very good job. Pictured is my dog Tula with her HRCH title ribbon they picked up this weekend.

We have only had positive results in our discovery of Castle House Kennels! After meeting with Colter for the first time, we knew that we had been blessed ! We knew right away that we were at the right place! From our first meeting, then next to helping us pick the perfect puppy for us, (Ruby from 2023 litter) …through Ruby’s training and events.. to now, Colter has been, and continues to be consistently supportive in our raising Ruby ! We are grateful in knowing that Colter loves Ruby… and every other dog that we’ve ever seen him handle!! He truly has an amazing gift, and we are amazed by how much that he has managed to teach Ruby so far! He really does know what he’s doing, and he does with a loving humble heart, and always..… with a smile!🙂

I miss Ruby here at the kennel and how every time we finish training she runs straight to the duck pen to check the hens or to the pond to jump in. Thank you so much for choosing me to help you find the right puppy and for allowing me to train her. I look forward to continuing her training after duck season! It’s a blessing to work with a family like yours. Thanks again!
