I am just finishing the certification - it is a great resource to understanding some of the challenges that impact people and stand in their way from flourishing. Money is unfortunately a key resource for most and learning to work with it is so important!
A much needed topic in the field. Money is at the intersection of everything we do in life. Grateful to work with people in the community and provide support in a non-traditional way. This isn't just education, it's empowerment.
The Financial Social Work course was very interesting and informative. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to understand why they handle money the way they do and how to break free from any bad money habits.
I completed the certification in Financial Social Work. The tools related to assessing client's money circumstances were helpful in my work with client's. Additionally, I enjoyed the concept of money stories.
My experience with the Center for Financial Social Work has been extremely positive and insightful. The training provides a unique approach to financial wellness by recognizing the connection between money, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences. Rather than focusing solely on budgeting and financial education, the program emphasizes self-awareness, empowerment, and sustainable behavior change.
I enrolled in the Financial Social Work Certification program and as a financial coach at a nonprofit, this has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for my professional development. I have been given critical tools that will help me engage my clients more deeply and better support them in their journeys of personal and financial transformation. Thank you!
The Financial Social Work Certification Program exceeded my expectations. The program is incredibly robust, addressing nearly every aspect of our relationship with money, not only how we can become more informed, but how we can better understand our financial behaviors, make meaningful changes, build healthier habits, and learn to reset when we fall back into old patterns. What I appreciated most is that this is not simply a training that teaches you how to help others. It challenges you to first examine yourself, your own relationship with money, beliefs, behaviors, and habits, and then equips you with the knowledge, tools, and skills to help others do the same. That approach made the experience both professionally valuable and deeply personal. This truly felt like a master training in understanding the intersection of money, behavior, and overall well-being. I am leaving the program with greater knowledge, a deeper understanding of myself, and a renewed sense of purpose around how I can integrate financial wellness into my work with others. The experience has also helped me recognize how naturally my longstanding interest in financial literacy aligns with my training and professional identity as a social worker. Bravo to the Center for Financial Social Work for developing such a comprehensive, practical, and transformative program!
I've attended a few lectures and took their Financial Social Work Course. It is very informative and easy to understand. The information is written so well and so engaging that you want to reference it over and over again.
I took the Financial Social Work certification course and really liked how insightful and organized it is. It is a LOT of information that you can reasonably retain because you walk through the course as you go. Applying it to your own life is helpful. My only complaint is that it is roughly 600 pages and videos teaching at least some of the lessons would work beautifully to break up the text and help us visual learners out.
