Candace is absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, she provided all of the important details and thoroughly explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I’ve been getting lash extensions for over seven years, and I was genuinely surprised by how much I learned from her. She shared information and tips that no one had ever explained to me before, and I am so grateful for the education she provided. Her knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail are truly exceptional. It’s clear that she is passionate about her work and cares deeply about helping her clients understand how to properly care for their lashes. I booked a foreign fill at Chic Beauty Bar with the owner, Candice, and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience. I arrived about 10 minutes late due to Google Maps directing me to the wrong street. When I explained the situation and that my appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM, Candice was immediately unwelcoming. I was asked to fill out a consent form, after which she briefly examined my lashes from a distance. I explained my usual lash map and style, then was told to lie down. From the start, the service felt rushed and rough. While taping and removing my grow-outs, she repeatedly pinched my eyelids, and the removal process was painful. I’ve been getting my lashes done consistently for over four years and have never experienced discomfort like this during a fill. After removing the grow-outs—which is a normal part of a fill—she told me it was actually a full set, not a fill. I was charged $150 for a “full set,” even though the service took the same amount of time my fill was scheduled for. Since the appointment, I haven’t been able to properly brush my lashes because glue was applied too far down the lash, causing my spoolie to tug and get stuck. This has never been an issue for me before. I am scheduled with another provider for a removal. Overall, the entire experience felt cold, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Prior to booking, I had also attempted to reach out via DM with no response, and when I eventually called to ask how to book a foreign fill, I was made to feel foolish and told bluntly to check the website—which I had already done. I apologized for calling. Candice was not welcoming, friendly, or reassuring, and this is not a service provider I felt comfortable with. She made me feel so awkward and as if my business wasn’t good enough. I will not be returning.
