Christian Brothers Automotive Olathe at a glance

Customers frequently praise the friendly staff, clear communication, and shuttle services, noting that repairs like oil changes and sensor replacements are often handled quickly. However, recurring complaints highlight that service costs are significantly higher than dealership or competitor estimates, with some reviewers citing specific price differences for parts and labor. Additionally, several low-rated reviews describe instances where mechanical issues persisted or recurred after the vehicle was returned, indicating a pattern of diagnostic errors or incomplete repairs.

OVER PRICED and no longer trust 2nd EXAMPLE 10/18/2026 Update Here is another example related to the Dealer being much less expensive. Both estimates include OEM parts and ASE certified mechanics. There is a difference in the warranty (12 month / 12,000 mile vs 36 month / 36,000 miles). Spark Plug Estimate (see attachments) > CB - $714 > DEALER - $434 This represents $280 more at Christian Brothers over the Dealer. Approximately 40% over what I paid.. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING MULTIPLE BIDS! Buyer beware ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 10/12/26 - thank you for responding to my complaint about being over priced and no longer trusting CB (Olathe). Your responses are about 20% correct and 80% categorically wrong. Please allow me to explain: Agreement: The dealer is 12 month /12,000 miles (not 36 months / 36,000 miles. Also, the dealer completed a drain (not flush) of the power steering system. Disagreement: The dealer did replace the 2 outer tie rodes. I am forwarding a voice mail message from the dealer that indicates they were included. There was NOT a $400 credit from the dealer but rather $150 (see attached copies). CB on the othe hand offered $100 credit (also attached). This helps support my conclusions that the dealer is less expensive: > CB - $100 credit on $2,850 estimate > Dealer - $150 credit on $1,890 estimate This is as close to an apples to apples comparison as you can get. The differences between Flush / Drain and the warrenty is NOT worth $900! I also note a total absence of response regarding other examples of the same issues. You state that "we are consistently lower than Dealer on all comparable services provided to our guests." This is not my experience and have the facts and data to back it up. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING MULTIPLE BIDS. Buyer Beware 10/9/26. I no longer trust this business. I have now had three experiences in the last two years where the Christian Brothers estimate was not close to DEALER PRICING. The most recent example was last week when I needed a power steering repair. Christian Brothers was a full $900 over the dealer for the identical same repairs ($2,758 at Christian Brothers and $1,850 at the DEALER). This is greater than 30% more at a private garage vs a dealer. I have used this business since 2006 but i can no longer trust that I am paying a fair and competitive price for the services rendered. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING MULTIPLE BIDS! Buyer beware.

David, Per your conversation with Lane at my shop we are not doing the same repairs as quoted by the dealer. Are quote included 2 outer tie rod ends and a power steering flush which the dealer didn't have on the estimate. You also received a $400 discount from the dealer per your conversation with Lane. We are consistently lower than the dealer on all comparable services provided to our guests and provide a 3 year/36000 mile warranty whereas the dealer only provides a 12 month/12000 mile warranty unfortunately in this case we are not comparing apples to apples. I am sorry we haven't met your expectations but we consistently check our pricing with the dealer and other garages in the area. Please feel free to call me anytime to discuss any other issues or concerns. Thanks Brian - Owner 913-764-3360

Had an oil leak on my f-150. Brought it up to have, it looked at, ended up costing me 3642.00. I thought it was a little expensive, but it was labor-intensive. I understand that. Drive the car home on a Saturday. Go to work, come home Monday morning and there's oil. Underneath my truck, whoever did the oil filter, crinkled it and put a hole in it. So today I proceed to change the oil. Any oil filter that I already paid for and I get to looking around my motor there's a bolt missing in my powersteering fluid to hold it down my throttle body cover. There's a bolt missing. The other side is completely snapped off. So it's flopping, then all my wiring was loose. I had to put it back myself. I am an electrician if I came to your house. You would expect me to do my job to the best of my ability. If that's the best you got, I'll never bring my car back there again. That's a lot of money for all that stuff to be wrong.

Jeff, I know you talked with my service manager about your issues and I am sorry this happened to your F150. I know we offered to tow your vehicle back to the shop and take care of your vehicle since all repairs have a 3 yr/ 36,000 mile warranty. We always try to do quality work and in this case that did not happen and I have addressed this with the technician that performed the repair. I know we sent a check to reimburse you for the oil change before we knew of the other issue with the power steering pump.. Respectfully, Brian - Owner

I finally found a new shop for our family's vehicles! Last week I began looking for a place to get an oil change and tire rotation, and CBA came up. My family had used them years ago, but due to moving and different vehicles we hadn't been back. In reading reviews, I came across a few where there was negative feedback, and the owner was quick to respond and provide updates, and to me it read as a company willing to both accept and share the truth. I scheduled my appointment online, and elected to receive text and call reminders. I received a call from CBA a few days before my appointment confirming, as well as two text reminders. On the day of my appointment, I arrived about 5 minutes early and was greeted by Van at the front counter. He reviewed by service request, took my keys, gave me an estimate on time (I decided to stay and wait) and made sure I was comfortable and familiar with the waiting area. The team got to work on my vehicle, and completed the work on time. Lane was the next associate I spoke to, and he walked me through everything done on my truck, as well as a few critical items I should take a look at. What makes this experience different is that Lane didn't try to upsell me on air filters, wiper blades, or any other simple stuff - he just gave me matter-of-fact responses with visible pricing. On top of that, he wasn't pushy and instead it felt like speaking to someone who actually has my best interest in mind. On top of all that, I got out of there for around $100 for a fully synthetic oil change and tire rotation. That's a price you won't find at any other nearby shops. Other items: - They are very busy, but very timely in what they do. Schedule ahead. - Waiting room has a few different seating options, and plenty of wall outlets if you need to plug in like I did. - Coffee (Keurig) and water, and of course their famous cookies, are available on hand as well. - There is a glass viewing window if you want to see into the shop. - It can get loud in the waiting area, but there is plenty of space just outside if you need to make a phone call. - They have free an reliable wifi. CBA team - thank you. Van and Lane are awesome, and my truck was returned clean and ready to go. It's nice to have an automotive shop you can trust!

nice people but don’t know what their doing. took my car here 4 times just for the issue not to be fixed after they kept it for a month and the issue wasn’t even the original issue it was one that came after. tried my best to stay positive with them but it gets to a point. the issue shows back up the same day so clearly they notice it too. wouldn’t go here. edit: its a 2014 chevy cruze i dont know how to respond to your reply and dont want to put my full name here but it was picked up friday . it was originally taken for a oil leak, it was “fixed”. when i tried starting it it started to struggle to start. i took it back , they “fixed” another thing. the same issue again. took it back, they had it for two weeks and gave me a loaner with no oil in it which i had get done myself. then the tags expired leading to me having to get a new loaner (which was fine i suppose) after putting money into the other one. and after the two weeks i get it back and the issue still remains.

Niah I am sorry but I can’t find a customer in our system with this name. Please let me know what name the car is under so I can follow up with you and more importantly find out what is wrong with your car. Thanks Brian -owner Update- I did find your ticket under a different name and left you a message to discuss your frustration and go over why it took so long to repair since we have to get approval from a 3rd party warranty company it unfortunately takes time to get things approved. We showed your warranty company the before and after pics of the repairs and leaks we fixed but it sounds as if you have more issues with the vehicle. Please feel free to call me anytime to discuss this matter further.

Picked up car drove off . It still had the problem I took it in for. They had it for 2 days. Prices they quoted I found the same parts they were over 2000 for least then 1000

Lynda I have looked over your ticket and unfortunately when we do an AC job we have to do the complete AC kit bc there is contamination throughout the AC system that will cause the system to break again if you just do the AC compressor. We could install just an AC compressor for a lesser price but unfortunately the part and job would carry no warranty bc you must replace all the parts to clean out the contamination. Hopefully the other shop explained this to you so you’re not having the same problem 1-2 years later. Sorry we didn’t meet your price expectations but we carry a 3yr/36k like warranty and we always want to do the job right so you’re not having the same issue before the warranty expires.
