Reviewers frequently highlight the facility's warm atmosphere, compassionate staff, and quality of care for residents with dementia or recovering from surgery. Recurring themes include the cleanliness of the property, the variety of meals, and the availability of activities like live music and garden access. However, low-star reviews criticize the admissions process for being unhelpful regarding specific programs and allege that staff denied family access to a resident during a medical emergency.

We had such a positive experience with Cloisters of the Valley. The community feels warm, peaceful, and welcoming, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into making residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home.
A very special thank you to Tia. She is incredibly professional, organized, and knows how to take care of everything. From the beginning, she made me feel like I could stop worrying, let go, and trust that everything would be okay. That sense of peace and confidence meant so much to me.
The entire process felt smooth and well managed, and everyone we encountered was kind, attentive, and helpful. I really appreciated the communication, the care, and the feeling that everything was being handled properly.
I highly recommend Cloisters of the Valley, and especially Tia. She made the whole experience so much easier and gave me real peace of mind.
I would never put my loved one here. They told us if we called a ambulance for our mother she could lose her place.we were so worried and wasnt allowed access to her. We were assured she was getting medical care , was told she was faking it to see us, she went from pushing others around to couldnt get out of bed and after 3 weeks we called a ambulance, and we found out it was too late she was septic. She passed miserably in hospice within 3 weeks. If shed had proper medical care the infection wouldnt of spread. Id never ever send someone here.
My stepmom has been living here for over 7 years. I can’t say enough good things about Cloisters. It’s the people who make a place excellent. The people here go above and beyond to take care of her. It is very well managed, the care is excellent, and they are all so kind. My stepmom is treated like a cherished family member. I am very grateful for the excellent care they provide. I highly recommend Cloisters! Five stars!
My mom has been in the care of Cloisters Of The Valley for Dementia for a number of years. She is a high needs and difficult resident. I have found the staff and community at Cloisters to be genuinely kind, caring, and compassionate. We love the facility.
I had a wonderful experience with everyone and all their staffs. They were all very accomodating and always ready to help. Their quality of care for their residents is phenomenal. Highly recommended.
My mom has been a resident at Cloister of the Valley Memory Care since 2022, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care she receives. The current director, Tia Goodwin, is incredibly kind and compassionate — my mom, who has dementia, even calls her “my best friend.” The facility feels warm and welcoming, the food has improved, and residents enjoy many activities like live music, celebrations, and festivals. A special thanks to all the wonderful personnel — the kitchen staff, laundry person, activity coordinator Andrew, and everyone who helps with medications, hygiene, and showers — for everything they do. I feel completely confident leaving my mom in their care, and the love and attention from the director and staff truly make this place feel like home.
My brother Mark moved in a few weeks ago and has had such a positive experience. The staff has been extremely helpful with this new environment for him. He has been very happy with his new room and the variety of meals compared to his last facility.
This review is long overdue, but so well deserved. Our family is beyond grateful for the exceptional care and kindness my MIL has received at Cloisters over the past year.
From the very beginning, the staff has gone above and beyond to make her feel truly at home. Tia, the director, has been outstanding, compassionate, responsive, and genuinely invested in her well-being. Any time my husband or I reach out, Tia responds quickly and thoughtfully, often sending us photos and videos that bring us so much peace of mind and keep us connected to her daily life.
Suzie, the business office director, has been equally wonderful - not just helpful and kind, but someone who shares a special connection with my MIL and considers her a friend. Knowing she is surrounded by people who care for her as a person, not just a resident, means the world to us.
We're also impressed by the events team, whose effort and creativity make life fun and engaging at Cloisters. My MIL truly enjoys living there, and it shows in her happiness and sense of belonging.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found a place where she is cared for, valued, and loved. Thank you to the entire Cloisters team for all you do!
My mother-in-law has been a resident at the Cloisters of the Valley for almost 6 years. She is 100 years old, has secere memory impairment and depends on others for her daily acticitirs
Great place! My sister loves it here and feels very safe and peaceful here. I particularly love the garden, fish, birds, and bunnies as it adds a sense of peace.
