This is the first negative Google review I’ve ever written. I hired Clutch to fully pack my house and move my belongings from Tucson to Chicago. During packing, my dad and I noticed crew members vaping while working. That bothered me, but they appeared to be working hard, and I initially thought the move was going well. The problems became apparent after delivery in Chicago. I discovered approximately $5,000 worth of belongings missing, in addition to damage to wood furniture, wine glasses, and upholstered furniture. Several wall-mounted items had also been removed with their mounting hardware still attached. During delivery, their driver, Will, backed the moving truck into a neighbor’s car, damaging the driver-side passenger door. I purchased Full Value Protection for this move. After submitting my claim, Clutch denied responsibility for the missing items and offered $350, which I rejected. They have not responded to my latest follow-up, and I am now preparing to pursue recovery through small claims court. I paid for professional packing and moving services expecting my belongings to arrive safely and any losses to be handled fairly under the protection I purchased. My experience with both the move and the subsequent claim process has been deeply disappointing. I overall feel that I was taken advantage of during the move.

This is revised review of the 5 star review that inputted by one of the Clutch Moving team utilizing our phone. Upon further review of their "work" we found: * many items mishandled and broken, *the hardware box was misplaced and many items could not be put together, including our beds. However, several days later we found the bed hardware clearly taped to one of the bedframes. They are supposed to return and put them together. As of today, they have not returned *grandfather clock was missing the key and counter weights. This renders the clock useless *sewing cabinet was obviously broken (pictured) *boxes were not put in their respective rooms (and the boxes were clearly labeled!). We spent a big chunk of our time moving boxes from room to room (even from the garage) and many were very heavy. *other items were clearly broken and no mention by the movers until we made the discovery *over stacked the boxes and some collapsed. This also made it difficult to unpack * have not heard from their claims department yet. *we spent over $11k and expected more of a premium service We are senior citizens and this has made it very difficult for us to unpack, sleeping on a mattress on the floor and moving boxes around so that we can unpack.
