College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Oakland County

Update: it has been six months since this occurred and I still can’t get an update. I continued calling weekly after I posted my original review and finally got an email asking for more information, which I promptly responded to. That was three and a half months ago. I have continued to follow up by phone and email just to request an update and no one has answered me.<br><br>My TV was damaged during my move over a month ago, but that alone is not why I’m leaving this review. Accidents happen, and I understand that damage can occur during a move.<br><br>The issue is the complete lack of communication afterward. I filed a claim with customer service by phone the same day as my move and was told I would receive an update from the local manager or franchise owner within five business days. When I didn’t hear anything, I called customer service to follow up. I was assured multiple times that the local office would contact me. Over the next three weeks, I continued calling every few days for an update and was told each time that someone would reach out.<br><br>Eventually, I obtained a direct number for the local office and have been leaving voicemails every other day. Despite all of these attempts, I still have not received a single callback or update on the status of my claim.<br><br>What makes this especially disappointing is that every interaction I had before and during the move was excellent. The movers themselves were professional, helpful, and went above and beyond. However, after spending a significant amount of money on this move, it’s frustrating that I can’t get even a brief update on a claim that was filed more than a month ago.<br><br>I’m not expecting perfection, and I’m not upset that an accident occurred. I simply want someone to return my calls and let me know where my claim stands. 33 days of regular follow ups with no response (and counting).

What an extremely pleasant experience with the College HUNKS crew. We had a multi-facet moving, junk removal and cleanup job order. The six man<br>crew was extremely efficient, always asking what was the next thing they could do to keep the process moving. They arrived around 9:30 and left the final drop off location at around 3pm.<br><br>Unfortunately, there were some family dynamics that took place while the crew was working. They were very professional, kept working and sympathetic to what was going on. They even were kind enough to do a side task that helped us with a ditch that had been cut out in the driveway.<br><br>KIND, PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, EMPATHETIC, HARD WORKING. Thank you all for assisting with a very difficult situation. You’ve helped make it easier for our family to prepare the property for sale.<br><br>If you need junk removal, moving , or anything of that nature, book this company! You wont be disappointed!

We are very pleased with the service we had. They showed up on schedule. Very friendly and hard working. I couldn't ask for better service. I will use them again. And refer them to anyone I know that needs that type of service.<br>I would give them 10 stars.

I hired College Hunks to move a treadmill in my home. During the move, my brand-new floors were damaged.<br><br>What has been most frustrating is not just the damage itself, but the complete lack of response afterward. Since reporting the issue, I have sent 4 emails, left 3 voicemails, and sent 3 text messages. Not a single call, email, or text has been returned.<br><br>I understand that accidents can happen. What I do not understand is how a company can completely ignore a customer after causing damage to their property. A simple acknowledgment or discussion about how to resolve the issue would have gone a long way.<br><br>At this point, I feel I have exhausted every reasonable attempt to address this directly. If you're considering using this company, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may have difficulty getting anyone to respond.

Jalen and Joey did an excellent job of quickly removing unwanted items from my home. They were prompt, professional yet friendly and very respectful of my home. have used college hunks several times and I’ve been happy with the results.

Talk about a positive experience, Arcadia and Shane were the happiest, most energetic guys I’ve seen in a long time. They took so many things away for me, I can’t even find the words to explain how much they lifted our spirits. We lost our sister unexpectedly a week ago and our brother seven months ago. This has been a very difficult time. These two guys had hugs for me and they were just a pleasure to have there. They worked like machines, too. A, I hope you enjoy that Trans bag! 😂❤️

College Hunks did an amazing job! I definitely underestimated their capacity/ capabilities and wish I’d had more stuff packed and ready to go. They moved 18 unopened boxes of furniture, exercise equipment, took tvs off the wall and moved furniture to the curb that we were not taking, in an hour. Unloading the furniture in the new house in the designated rooms, up and down the stairs, basement etc was just as fast. Nothing broken. The guys were super friendly. They walk you thru the house one last time and ask if you changed your mind about any placements and were kind enough to move things around if asked. I didn’t expect their 2hr turnaround, nor am I guaranteeing that for anyone else but definitely appreciate their sense of urgency and efficiency. Thank you guys!

I cannot say enough good things about Hunter, Joe, and Vinnie from College Hunks. They are, without question, THE BEST movers I have ever used. They worked FAST the entire time while still being careful, organized, and incredibly professional. Beyond that, they were genuinely pleasant to work with from start to finish. Moving can be stressful, but this team made the entire experience feel manageable and comfortable. What stood out most to me was how well they listened. They paid attention to my preferences, respected how I wanted items and boxes organized, and made me feel completely comfortable communicating throughout the process.
