I have been going to compassionate care groomers for several years. My baby always looks fantastic and is extra cuddly after her groom (cause she smells sooo good). We love Michelle and fell lucky to have her as our groomer. She’s always kind to Gracie and kind to me.

Unfortunately we can’t brush and comb your dog for you at home. Even though your appointment was later because of a groomer leaving, it is your responsibility as the owner to brush and comb your dog at home. We also post openings regularly, have an waitlist, or you could have gone to another groomer in between. Unfortunately these mixed breeds get tangled very easily when not maintained daily at home. The mats were thick in her ears and needed to be plucked out and matting takes additional time, skills, and damages our equipment so an additional charge is required for all those reasons. Gracie did wonderful with the groomer and was extremely comfortable and relaxed, looking back on security footage she did not seem stressed one time. Just because she ran behind you once picked up up doesn’t mean she’s afraid. Numerous dogs do this because they missed you.

We have a rescue pup that has lots of trauma around nail trims/grooming. I contacted compassionate groom and spa through facebook to ask about their services for anxious pups, they were super responsive and we decided to go for it!! Yogi has now went twice and we saw a huge difference from the first time, to the second. The staff are kind, patient, and definitely love and care for every animal that enters their door. We even were able to come up with a plan to get Yogi used to these trims! We will definitely continue to use compassionate groom and spa!!

The service was excellent. The staff are friendly and very attentive to my dog. My only problem is the cost; however I use Compassionate Groom/Spa as a backup for my dog.

We recently rescued the sweetest shepherd mix who gets pretty nervous about having his nails cut and can be vocal around other dogs in new environments. We had our first nail appointment at Compassionate; it is quiet and open and Jamie and the team were so kind and patient in letting him feel things out and making him comfortable. They got his nails done quickly, he did great, and he enjoyed all the praise. The relief and confidence moving forward is well worth the price and the drive from Carlisle. We have definitely found our groomer.
