Very cool place that's free to the public. There's all sorts of things to learn, like a museum, but also practical knowledge for how to maintain your own garden. It's definitely worth a visit to get to know the utah plant lift

Really beautiful park, trails everywhere, discoveries around every corner. Lots of education about local plants, rivers, water systems, doing your home yard better, pollinators, etc. Lots of shady spots for chillin.
One of my favorite places! So beautiful and SO much to learn. They are great at making resources accessible.
I’d driven past the Conservation Garden Park before, but I’m glad I finally spent some time walking through it. It’s a lot more than a collection of pretty flower beds. There are more than eight acres of gardens and pathways, with different examples of water-wise landscaping throughout. I liked that it doesn’t feel like someone took all the fun out of gardening just to save water. There are flowers, shade trees, grasses, seating areas, and even some quirky little details that make you slow down and look around. At one point I caught myself paying more attention to the different textures and plants than I expected to. The breeze was moving through the grasses and it was pleasantly quiet, especially considering how close you are to everything around West Jordan. There are educational displays along the way, including a full-size section of water pipe you can actually walk through, which is a pretty unexpected thing to find in a garden. There’s even a giant chess set. I spent a little time trying to figure out how some of the landscaping would translate to a normal Utah yard, which is really the point of the place. I did have to backtrack once because I missed part of the path. Nothing dramatic, just me apparently not paying attention. There are plenty of benches if you want to slow down, and I liked that the garden doesn't feel like you're being rushed from one attraction to the next. It’s just a pleasant place to wander for a while, and I left with a few ideas for plants and landscaping that I hadn't considered before.

Love this place!!! Beautiful gardens, wonderful staff, great place to walk my dog and learn about ways to conserve water in my yardscape. All for free! I took a million pictures of the plants, but I'll only post a few.
Beautiful free gardens that are free to enter. Great for a nice nature walk. Cute areas for kiddos to play. They also do free fun activities throughout the month.

Amazing place to inspire what can be done with climate-appropriate plants in your own yards. We had a great time walking around and seeing the grounds. Gorgeously maintained. Staff are exceptionally knowledgeable. The free Backyard event was so fun! Ashley helped explain some incentives available to us as homeowners considering flipping our parkstrip and lawns from grass to low-water options. We came away better informed and really inspired.
