My mother required a safe locked facility for respite and Copper Canyon went well above and beyond with her care. Their nursing staff was top notch and they really worked with their whole hearts and souls to help her get better and back on her feet. I cannot say enough good things about Copper Canyon.

We appreciate your wonderful review, Meghan. Thank you for sharing your feedback!
Memory care decisions are not easy for loved ones. April and her team care so deeply for each resident they are trusted with. There is seamless communication with every provider that supports residents care in this building.
Please read this entire review. Carrie was amazing and very kind. She sold us on this being the place for our mother with Dementia. When it came time for my mom to move in my mom became upset crying and wanting to go home. Carrie said you just get your mom there however you can and we will handle it. She said we are trained to deal with dementia. The director well he is a particular kind of guy. Seems a nervous type. My mom was in their care for 4 days and she was not happy. She was a tiny woman with the weight of 128 or so pounds.
Imagine a woman screaming she wants to go home, scared, cursing and confused. Anyone who is “trained in dementia care” should know that means I am scared, I am unsettled and I do not feel safe. Instead of using their “training” they called AMS she was taken to NW hospital for evaluation. The hospital said she was fine and said Tony (the director) was patient dumping. He called me and was extremely upset that he was accused of that. I was scared that my mom would not have a facility to return to. I tried to be understanding with him.
Thinking about it later he was trying to cover for their lack of care. He is a person who only thinks of himself and definitely not the care of a person with dementia. I know dealing with the choice to move your loved one into assisted living is difficult but please do not even think about this place. Honestly do not pay for 6 days of inadequate care the lovely price of 2900.00 for your loved one…just for them to throw your loved one to the streets. Your mom, your father your family member deserves better. Carrie the car sales lady (hopefully not still employed) Keep the Amazon gifts and start being real with the families that are looking for help. Disgusting. Ps my mom passed away not even a year later. She suffered from all the changes this horrible place inflicted on her. Carrie and Tony shame on you both!
If you’re reading this, you are probably trying to find an assisted living and/or memory care home for your family member. I did the same thing when trying to find a place for my mom. I read all of the reviews and toured numerous facilities in Tucson. After an exhaustive search, I chose Copper Canyon. After almost a year, I could not be more satisfied with my choice.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff at Copper Canyon truly care about their residents. I have visited at all hours of the day and night, and without fail, I observed the caregivers treating the residents with real respect, regardless of their cognitive condition. It could be as simple as combing a resident’s hair because they noticed it was needed, or just listening to their concerns. In my opinion, it’s the small things that I have seen from the staff which reveal the type of people working there.
One staff member that has truly made my mom’s transition to Copper Canyon easy has been April Walker, Nurse Clinical Director. From day one, my family and I have been comforted by how involved April has been in the details of mom’s medical conditions. If anything changes, April has been quick to reach out and let me know what’s going on. I’m completely confident that April or the Wellness Coordinator, Alessandro Solis, would be on top of any medical issues.
It has to be a tough task to care for people with varied cognitive and medical conditions, but from my experience, Copper Canyon has found the balance. The food and food service make my mom feel like she’s eating in a restaurant three times day. She loves all of the activities offered. So much so, several times when she has been out with our family, she mentioned that she wanted to get back in time for bingo, yoga, or some other activity.
Bottom line…my mom loves living at Copper Canyon. What else could you ask for?

Highly recommend Copper Canyon Assisted Living to anyone looking for a caring and dependable community.
Reyna, Amber, Em, and Alessandro and all staff are amazing!
My dad has been at Copper Canyon Memory Care and the experience has been incredible for our family. The nurses and caregivers truly care about the residents and treat them with kindness, patience, and respect every single day.
The staff has been attentive, compassionate, and always willing to communicate with us about his care. Most importantly, my dad is genuinely happy there, which gives our family peace of mind.
You can tell the team works hard to create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for residents. We’re very thankful for everything they do and would highly recommend Copper Canyon to other families looking for quality memory care.
I have a family member at Copper Canyon Memory Care. This is a remarkable place, and I rest easily knowing the kind of care he is getting. The executive director Mr. Tony Pennachio met me and my family in the beginning and graciously toured us around the beautiful and super clean facility. His leadership was obvious in the quality of his friendly and knowledgeable staff, from the welcoming and warm Jean and Diane at the entrance to all the others. I have relied on April Walker, director of resident care almost daily the first month helping me to adjust to this new part of my and our family’s life. She knows all the residents by name and what their special needs are.
Don’t you think that’s incredible..? I do. You don’t often meet people like April and you are so fortunate she is there. Her manager Alessandro Solis is right there to help when needed
And immediately. Sophia Bayze, marketing is so helpful with requests and there is not enough praise for Stephanie Smith, the Business Office Manager. Who amongst us doesn’t need financial information in these kinds of complex situations?... I sat in her office at move in time for my family member and it made a huge difference in my understanding of the financial aspects.
These people and countless care staff take care of our loved ones and they do it with a smile, a hello, immediate response and great efficiency.
You can read about the three meals a day, the snacks, the cleanliness and spaciousness of the place, the great wide halls good for walking, the outdoor patio, the good medication management and the activities from all who have been there, and they are top notch, but I wanted to emphasize that even tho they are super important things for a good memory care center, we are placing our loved ones with people, aren’t we, and the caring people who work at Copper Canyon are the best!
We greatly appreciated the compassionate care that our friend received at Copper Canyon at the end of her life. The staff were warm and friendly and looked after her every need. They also took care of our friend's immediate family and visitors, making sure they were comfortable and offering food and beverages while they keeping vigil in the last weeks. We always felt welcomed when we came to visit as well. Thank you for taking care of everyone during this difficult episode and especially for the care and attention you gave to our friend.
I’m not much of a reviewer typically, but I felt the need to do so here. I’m a retired medical professional for over 40+ years. Placing my husband into memory care has been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. Copper Canyon has made this transition better than I could’ve ever hoped for. From the initial tour with their compassionate director of marketing, their kind and caring executive director and even their outstanding person that greets you upon entering - they all have exceeded my expectations. He is lovingly cared for, feed well, socializing nicely and is finally in a place where he is safe. I’m beyond pleased and very grateful for their entire staffs dedication to his well being. Please do not hesitate for even a moment to check out Copper Canyon and their amazing team for your loved one. I promise you, you’ll be thankful you did…
Copper Canyon Memory Care Center has been a positive and supportive environment for my mom. The staff has been attentive to her needs and care, receptive to feedback, and committed to maintaining a clean, open, and friendly atmosphere for both residents and visitors. The facility is large enough that mom does not feel confined including a wonderful courtyard where my mom enjoys spending time enjoying the Arizona weather.
Overall, it's a very nice facility at a reasonable cost. Our family truly appreciates the support and compassion by the staff and management during a challenging transition in our and our loved one's life.
