We bought a new house in this subdivision in Spring 2024. I wanted less home repairs, and it seems we have more issues with our new house than we did with our former old brick ranch. When we first bought the house, the representatives were nice, such as Amanda, however, as time has gone on, and warranty repairs are desperately needed, due to poor construction, communication has lulled. Now, we have several issues with our house, in addition, several of our neighbors have even worse issues than we do. This subdivision has poorly constructed houses and trying to get warranty fixes is taking forever! Not kept-up streets, poor drainage (in streets and in homeowners yards), poorly laid flooring on second level, cheap flooring poorly laid on 1st level, A/C issues - including extremely high humidity= mold growth, electrical issues on occasion, it's never ending. I wish I had known all the issues D.R. Hortons has with their housing developments before I bought.

We purchased a home from this builder and unfortunately have had serious issues with the quality of construction. Humidity problems, visible mold, and HVAC design flaws have made our house difficult to live in, and repairs have been slow and incomplete.
When I shared my experience on their Facebook page to warn other homeowners, my truthful comments were deleted instead of addressed. This was disappointing, as open communication could have helped future buyers avoid the same mistakes.
Not to mention, their warranty team seems to not want to fix these issues. Cheers to spending 300k+ for a house with holes everywhere on the first floor and mold.
