Absolutely go anywhere else you can for autism evaluation services. This place will make you jump hoops. You will have virtual visit upon virtual visit with just them asking questions before they ever even see your child. That will be worh months in between as well. Then once your child is evaluated you'll have to beg for results all while they pester you with alert after alert about getting your child signed up for different therapies etc before they ever even give you the results of your child's evaluation. It truly feels like a money gran with no really care or concern for your child, your time or your money.
We started working with Corticanin April to have my child evaluated. Finally got evaluated in July and am now in Sept still begging for copies of the results. Dr. Mala had conversations with me about possible mediations for my child before we ever even received results or an actual evaluation for autism. Seems so out of order and as if they will simply have appts for things to be able to bill you. From calling to try and ger ahold of someone to even locating their place of business when you go in person... its all terrible. Go anywhere else you can. The only positive aspect in any regard has been their front desk ladies. The only helpful, nice people I've worked with since dealing with Cortica.
Such a great company! They are all about the clients / kiddos 🩷
Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad to hear you had a great experience with our team at Cortica!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a mom of an 8-year-old son with autism, finding the right place for my child has been one of the most important decisions I’ve ever had to make. I am so grateful that we found Cortica in Torrance.

From the moment we started, I felt like my son was being seen as a whole child—not just a diagnosis. The staff has been caring, patient, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping him grow and succeed. They understand that every child with autism is different, and they take the time to meet children where they are.

What I especially appreciate about Cortica is the comprehensive approach. Having different services and professionals working together makes such a difference for our family. It gives me comfort knowing that my son is surrounded by people who understand his needs and are working toward helping him build confidence, communication, independence, and important life skills.

Most importantly, my son feels comfortable there. As a parent, seeing your child feel safe, supported, and excited to participate means everything.

I know how overwhelming the autism journey can be, and finding the right team can feel like an impossible task. Cortica Torrance has given our family hope, support, and a team we can trust. I am truly thankful for everyone who has been part of my son’s journey and for the progress we continue to see.

If you are a parent looking for a place that understands autism and genuinely cares about your child, I highly recommend giving Cortica Torrance a chance. ❤️
I am so glad I decided to explore this option. I was referred by a woman I met at the bank, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made for my daughter's care.
This is by far one of the best experiences we've had. What stood out immediately was how descriptive and thorough the therapist was not just when speaking with my daughter, but with me as well. Even though it was only her first appointment, and the first few sessions will be play-based as she builds a relationship with my daughter, it was still an incredible experience.
What really resonated with me was finally feeling like I was speaking with someone who was truly on the same page as me. She was already familiar with things I'd discussed with other therapists like echolalia, gestalt language processing, and more which made the conversation feel natural and validating rather than like I was starting from scratch.
She also took genuine interest in learning about my daughter's diet and our past approaches, not just to better understand Rose, but because she is passionate about continuously growing as a speech pathologist. If something works for one family, she wants to share it with others and that kind of dedication is rare.
My only small wish is that sessions were 45 minutes instead of 30, but that is a minor thing. The quality of care more than makes up for it. I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us.
Beautiful spacious office.Very welcoming !
My son is 3 years old and has been coming to cortica for occupational therapy with Ms. Barbara and loves it. Cortica has made it so easy for me as a parent understand what’s going on with him. He has made so much progress and truly looks forward to coming every week.
