Crossing Borders is like a second family to us! All of the teachers and caretakers are so kind, empathetic, and attentive (even in classrooms my daughter is not a part of!). The language immersion is completely unique to this school, and a priceless experience my daughter gets in her formative years. The school also provides many experiences that the parents get to be a part of, which I truly appreciate. The community that is created here is one in a million.

My son was only in the Crossing Borders Spanish‑immersion kindergarten class for one year, but it made all the difference. In the beginning, as expected, he struggled to understand the second language, yet his teacher, Ms. Ivonne, continually encouraged him to stick with it. She created a warm, welcoming environment for learning — as I’m sure all of the kindergarten teachers do — and she made each day enjoyable and memorable. By month six, he was teaching me Spanish words and was genuinely excited to continue learning. By the time he graduated, he was having full conversations at school, at home, and with anyone he met. He was even completing Duolingo lessons with perfect scores. This seemingly small shift in what education can look like instilled in him a sense of pride and a curiosity for deeper understanding that I had only rarely seen before joining Crossing Borders. We are sad to leave the community, but I can confidently say I would choose this path a hundred times over — and would only change one thing: I would start even earlier. We are truly grateful for all the wonderful teachers and staff who made our time there such a beautiful experience.

Crossing Borders had been a wonderful experience for our kids. It is a beautiful campus with a great community and they really do learn Spanish! Miss Karla in particular has been so kind, loving, and warm — all the students loved her this last year!

Hands down the best language immersion preschool in Houston. The campus is beautiful, the play area is shaded (so important for Houston weather), the teachers are caring and involved, and classrooms are kept clean. Both my children have learned Spanish from this wonderful program. Highly recommend!

My son is in Ms. Jessica's Mandarin class and he absolutely loves going to school. He loves his teacher and classmates and comes home from school eager to tell stories about his day. Ms. Jessica is so affectionate and caring - you can tell she takes pride in being an educator. All the staff at CBIS are great. They always greet you with smiles and put together amazing activities for the kids. Highly recommend!

My kids started around 2.5 year old with no experience in Spanish or Mandarin. After a year of Spanish immersion class, I was very impressed by their growth. After a year, we transitioned to full Mandarin class with Ms. Jessica and my kids can hold daily conversations in Mandarin. All the staff members know my kids and my kids love going to school. I highly recommend Crossing Borders.

We have been part of Ms. Jessica’s Mandarin class since August 2023. My oldest daughter started first, and later my younger daughter continued in the program and is still enrolled today. Both of my girls truly love the school, especially the Mandarin class, where they have been exposed to structured and engaging instruction in both Mandarin and math. Every morning when I drop them off, I feel completely at ease knowing they are receiving attentive care and a strong educational foundation at Crossing Borders International School.

My daughter and son have attended CBIS since they were 3. We have loved the school and staff. The support provided by the faculty is top-tier and we couldn’t be happier with our teachers over the years. We’ve had Ms. Cristi (who is now in admin), Ms. Samantha, Ms. Zugeydi, and Ms. Ivonne, all of which have been phenomenal. Ms. Ivonne has been my daughter’s Pre-K and Kinder teacher, her care, attention, and teaching style has worked wonders for my daughter, who is now reading and sounding out complex words. I couldn’t recommend the school enough no matter who you are blessed with having as a teacher. This school really celebrates and is intentional about building a well-rounded critical thinker.

This is the best immersion preschool inside the loop, small groups and dedicated staff. My daughter spoke English and French already and had so much fun in prek 4 with Ms. Messad. We loved the school so much we kept her here in Kindergarten and she is now on her way to being trilingual, she really enjoys her Kindergarten class and her teacher Ms. Ivonne is amazing and now she wants to keep learning Spanish... Great job with all the kiddos, Ms. Ivonne!
