Had a lovely experience with Custom Deck Creations and I LOVE my new front porch! From Tyler in sales & design, to Eric the builder, to Bryan, the project manager who just came out to do a final walkthrough to make sure I was truly satisfied. Even with a few hiccups from the lumberyard, they remained positive and professional! Highly recommended!!!
Response from the owner · a week ago
Hey Jeni!
This is exactly what we love to hear. We’re so glad you had such a positive experience and, most importantly, that you LOVE your new front porch.
Projects do not always go perfectly behind the scenes, so it means a lot that you noticed how the team handled the lumberyard hiccups and kept everything moving in a positive, professional way. Making sure you feel taken care of all the way through the final walkthrough is a big part of how we want every project to feel.
Thank you for trusting us with your home and for the wonderful recommendation!
Thank you!

Great experience working with Custom Deck Creations. It was totally effortless for us on the homeowner side. They set clear expectations on timelines and process and provided the plenty of written and video information. We are super happy with our deck and so are our dogs. 10/10!

Hey Celia!
You just made our day. We’re so glad the whole process felt easy on your end and that you always knew what to expect. That kind of experience is exactly what we work hard to provide.
Your deck looks so cozy in that photo. It looks like the dogs have already decided it’s one of their favorite places to hang out. I have a feeling they’re going to like it even more once the snow starts flying!
We really appreciate the 10/10 and hope you all enjoy the deck for many years to come.
Thank you!

Choosing Custom Deck Creations as our contractor to resurface our deck with Trex decking material was definitely a 5 star decision. From Tom in sales to Tarah in support and last but certainly not least, the crew doing the work, we were quite pleased. We were impressed with the pride and expertise shown by the crew leader Lloyd and absolutely love the finished product that he and Alex crafted. The final walkthrough with Bryan was very thorough and it reassured us that we had made a good choice with Custom Deck Creations. We whole heartedly endorse them as a source for anyone looking for deck design, construction or update. Nice work!

Custom Decks was incredible from start to finish. They were professional, timely, communicative, and helpful when unforeseen issues arose. Shout out to Tom, Bryan, Tarah, Jason, Dakota and crew for building us a gorgeous deck. The design team really helped us develop the ideas in our heads into reality and the crew made it come to life. You won’t regret hiring this company! This crappy picture doesn’t do the deck justice, it’s beautiful and so well made.

You just made our day. Thank you so much for the incredible review and for sharing a photo too. And for the record, we think the deck looks pretty great in the picture!
It means a lot to hear that you felt supported when unexpected issues came up. Bringing the ideas in your head to life is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do, and we’re thrilled that the finished deck turned out beautiful and well built.
Thank you for trusting us with your home and for such a strong recommendation. We hope you enjoy that gorgeous new space for many years to come!

Left two messages asking for an estimate on a pouch install. No call back, even to say not interested. Poor customer service.
Response from the owner · 2 weeks ago
Hi Tara,
Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I’m sorry for the frustration of waiting on a call that never came. I searched everywhere in our system and don’t have a record of your name, so I want to understand what happened.
Calling every lead back the same day, or the next morning at the latest, is something we take very seriously, even if it’s to say a project isn’t a fit for us. If you reached out to us and we missed you, that’s on us and I’d like to make it right. If you were trying another company, I’d still like to hear about your porch project and see if we can help.
Please call me directly at 734-356-3360. I’d like the opportunity to have a conversation either way.
Thank you!

From start to finish, Custom Deck Creations was amazing to work with!! When we met with Tyler, we immediately felt so at ease, all our questions were always answered, he was so professional and friendly, and there were no high pressure sales tactics used to convince us to go with Custom Deck Creations. We received 3 other quotes and went with Custom Deck Creations because of how everything was structured, the warranty, the way the deck was built and the very positive experience we had with Tyler. There was constant communication from the company even if there weren’t any major updates sometimes, and everyone at the office and Brian were fantastic! Our deck was finished a couple weeks ago and it looks beautiful!! We love it! Thank you Custom Deck Creations! We’ll definitely be keeping your company in mind for any future projects and recommending it to our friends and neighbors!

It means a lot that you felt comfortable and never pressured from the very beginning. That is such an important part of how we want this process to feel. We also really appreciate you recognizing the communication, warranty, and the way we build. Those details matter to us, and we’re glad they helped give you confidence in choosing Custom Deck Creations.
Most importantly, we’re thrilled that you love how your new deck turned out. Thank you for trusting us with your home and for recommending us to your friends and neighbors. We truly appreciate it!

We couldn’t be happier with our new deck built by Custom Deck Creations!
A big shoutout to Bryan, who was fantastic during the design phase. He guided us through all our options, answered every question, and made getting set up completely seamless. When it came to construction, the Cook brothers were absolute pros. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were top-notch, and they used ground screws for the frame support, which provided incredible stability without tearing up our yard.
We opted for the Trex Lineage decking, and the final look is beyond gorgeous.
What impressed us most was how hassle-free the entire process was. The team kept us updated at every single step, handled our HOA approval, pulled all necessary permits with our local township, and scheduled the required inspections.
We are thrilled with the finished product and can’t wait to enjoy it for years to come. If you’re looking to build a deck, look no further than Custom Deck Creations!

Your deck looks incredible in the photo, and the Trex Lineage was a fantastic choice. We’re also glad the ground screws gave you the stability you wanted without tearing up the yard. That clean installation is one of the reasons we like using them so much.
More than anything, it means a lot to hear that the entire process felt easy and well handled. Taking care of the HOA approval, permits, inspections, communication, and all the little details is a big part of how we try to make deck building as stress free as possible.
Thank you for trusting us with your project. We hope you enjoy that beautiful new deck for many years to come!

My husband & I are very happy with our new deck and our experience with Custom Deck Creations. The sales rep, John was informative, professional & showed us the perfect design for our deck. He gave us helpful suggestions that made the decision making process easier. The office representatives, especially Tarah, stayed in contact throughout the process, they kept us up to date & replied promptly with any questions that we had. Austin did an excellent job with the deck demo . The man (I forget his name) who did the ground screws was professional, very nice & even stopped to address a question. I can't say enough about Chet & his crew. They outdid themselves getting our deck completed, battling weather issues, within the timeframe we were hoping for. It was nice to meet with Bryan on the day of our final inspection. He sealed the deal with making us feel confident that we chose the right company to build our deck & know that they stand behind their product.

We’re thrilled that you and your husband love your new deck, and the photo collage looks fantastic. Your Highland Township deck turned out beautifully, and it’s especially rewarding to know you felt taken care of through the design, communication, ground screw installation, construction, and final walkthrough.
Building a quality composite deck is only part of what we do. Making sure you feel informed, confident, and supported throughout the entire process is just as important to us.
Thank you for trusting Custom Deck Creations with your project. We truly appreciate it and hope you enjoy your new outdoor space for many years to come!

I couldn't be more pleased with my Custom Deck Creations deck. The entire team was a pleasure to work with. It started with Jeff who helped us work through many iterations of our plan until we narrowed it down to a plan that was perfect, at what I thought was a fair price. Tarah did a very nice job keeping the project moving forward, getting g permits pulled, answering ALL questions and keeping us informed. I couldn't be more pleased with our install installation team of Matt, Mike and Noah. Their craftsmanship was top-notch and their attention to detail was impressive. They were also super friendly and kept the job site clean and picked up. Finally, Brian helped pull everything together at the end, working to get our final permits, and even helping with a small customization to help our sunken hot tub fit just right. I highly recommend Custom Deck Creations to anyone looking to add a deck.

It sounds like a lot of thought went into getting the design just right, and we’re glad the process stayed smooth all the way through the final details. We especially appreciate you noticing the craftsmanship, communication, cleanliness, and care along the way. Those are all things we work hard to get right.
And thank you for sharing the photo too! Your deck looks fantastic, and we’re glad the hot tub detail came together the way you wanted.
Thanks again for trusting us with your project and for the recommendation. We truly appreciate it!

Custom Deck Creations did a sterling job on my 16 by 23 foot deck. The final piece to close out the backyard of my 2022 house. Design phase was with Donte their design consultant. Went over all the options, materials, and pricing. Smooth operation. Then some patience is required before deck construction start date since this is a busy company. My next interface was with ground screw installer Jason. The consummate gentleman. He explained the whole process and got it done. Biggest interface was with the deck builder DJ. I honored to get a true craftsman to BUILD my deck. DJ is a meticulous fit and finish kind of guy. The end result is a beautiful deck that fits the back of my house just right. The company kept me up to date with scheduling and other processes as necessary. Thanks Custom Deck Creations. Jeff Liebman
