D1 Training Allen

Appreciate the personalized attention for my son!

Like other reviews, they promised you something and delivered the other was what we have experienced.

My son’s membership was supposed to be cancelled on March 7th. I have an email confirmation of that. Since then I’ve still been charged 3 times. I’ve called and emailed multiple times with no response.

Do not go to this gym for personal training sessions. They cannot keep anyone on staff there...so much turnover its like a revolving door. They promise one thing and deliver another. Dealt with multiple tardiness from employees for sessions, early morning no shows, and cutting 60 minute sessions early to accomodate trainer having to teach a class. Nice people, but they are significantly understaffed and clients pay the price for that. Would never come back.

Pick someplace else. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with D1 in Allen. They promised one thing and delivered another. They did not honor their commitments and went back on their word. We gave them several opportunities to redress and they opted not to. We found another place run by a former D1 associate that is much better.

Disappointing Update: I was charged $49.99 on August 10, 2025 even though my account was paused and I never authorized it to be reactivated. I’ve reached out to the manager, Brendan, multiple times by phone, email, and even in person (most recently in person yesterday 11/6/2025). Each time I’m told the refund request was sent to corporate back in August and that they’re “backed up.” It’s now been almost three months, and I still haven’t received my refund or any real update. Brendan even mentioned that several other members are waiting on the same issue, which is extremely concerning. This experience has completely eroded my trust in D1 Training’s business practices. I had planned to return after my son’s football season, but after how this has been handled, I won’t be coming back. We would have eventually signed our youngest up for classes when he met the age requirements next year, but now they have essentially lost 2 regular members. Very disappointing experience — I would strongly caution anyone to be careful with billing and communication here. We've been going to D1 Allen for probably at least 6 months now. We love it and the staff. My son has seen much improvement in his weight training journey with the help of coach Anne and coach Cam. The staff is always easy to work with and supportive. If you are considering trying them out or joining, DO IT!

This is my first time leaving a negative review on Google. I emailed them on February 6 to cancel my membership, and they replied that the charges would stop on March 6. This is fine , I usually don’t have time to check my credit card statements, until last month I suddenly noticed that D1 training Allen has continued charging my card for six months straight. This is truly unbelievable. I immediately contacted them by both email and phone, but nothing has been resolved after 3 weeks. I called each week and the front desk told me that the issue was being forwarded to management, yet as of now I still haven’t received a refund. They said they didn’t know when will be solved. I’ll have to contact my credit card provider tomorrow to file claim for the unauthorized charges. Remember to send email if you cancel membership and keep written proof .

Absolutely worth every penny! Brandon is an outstanding coach. He pushes the athletes to perform well. He absolutely cares about his kids and it shows. Amazing facility, super clean and organized.

The facility was clean and had a wide variety of equipment to use. The environment was what you would expect as an athlete and very well kept. The music they have playing keeps you pumped up during your workouts. I had Joe Gottsch as my coach and being my first time visiting this facility, he made it a reason to want to return. Very informative, paying attention to details such as posture and form, and was well balanced with being encouraging and making sure I got through the work out. Would highly recommend this place and Joe if you’re wondering what coach to use

I joined the D1 training Allen this week and attended multiple sessions of the Adult performance training 1hr class. My initial impressions are that the classes and the instructors are great. The classes are very well designed and the drills in the classes were different each day which kept me interested. Instructors Brendon and Shea were very friendly and kept constantly encouraging me throughout the session. The performance class included a good mix of cardio and weight training. I found the instructors  to be very knowledgeable and felt they really cared about all the students in the class. The D1 training gym is very spacious with lots of different equipment which are included in the drills during the classes. I am very excited and am looking forward to trying out other workouts in the coming weeks.
