Daniels did an awesome job on our lawn. They put in new down spout drains, back filled a lot of dirt, landscaped, fertilized and laid sod. He was prompt, professional and very easy to work with. We are 100% satisfied and highly recommend!
Worked with Daniel and his crews on several projects over the last few months. Their work has been outstanding. Always very careful and thoughtful to achieve the desired outcome. several times they offered suggestions to improve the outcome of the projects. Daniel's Lawn Service truck was parked in the road on Valley Circle in Vestavia with 2 people in the cab. I could not drive between the truck and trash bin that was on the side of the road. When I looked questionable at the driver, he just shrugged and sat there. I'm 70 years old and had to get out of my car and…

We recently moved to the area from out of state and bought a cozy house, but the landscaping was severely overgrown and needed a lot of attention. The size of the project felt overwhelming, especially while we were still settling into our new home. We received multiple quotes, but after meeting with Daniel, we knew he was the right choice. He was extremely knowledgeable, met with my wife and I, and helped guide us through the entire process. He made us feel much more comfortable taking on a project of this scale. Daniel’s Landscaping gave us the clean slate we were looking for. They removed the overgrown plants and shrubs, repaired and upgraded the irrigation system, installed retaining walls, brought in topsoil, laid new sod, and added new landscaping and trees. Everything was handled professionally from start to finish, with great communication throughout the project. We’re extremely happy with how everything turned out and glad we chose Daniel’s Landscaping

I'm looking at the reviews and guess I'm an outlier, but I had a really good experience with this company a few years ago and decided to try again (thus the two stars). They did some really good stone work for me at the time. A few things to keep in mind: if they plant live trees, they do so without giving instructions on care and with no warranty. I had trees planted ahead of Labor Day because that's when it was on the schedule, and had no idea if I was watering enough or too much. It was very hot. I emailed when the trees were looking stressed. I also tried to call but the mailbox was full (this is typical). A few days later I emailed again and received a curt reply asking me to send exact dates and amounts of watering including variation, and that they would try to coach me if I did that, but there was no guarantee on the trees. I think it is obvious not many people could provide the exact information about watering. I definitely can't, so the message is that they can't help me. This is after an installation where the holes for the trees were not dug where we had agreed upon during our meeting at the beginning of the project. I thought the crew had messed up and texted the owner's son on a Sunday afternoon to try to point it out before they planted on Monday morning. I got a lecture about contacting him on a Sunday and was told the plan was changed without my knowledge. I apologized, and told him that I genuinely thought a mistake was being made. As a business owner myself, I'd like to point out that it's your choice if you immediately answer texts or emails. The choice to engage on a Sunday was made by that person. When the job was initially started, they showed up in my backyard unannounced - I had no idea they were coming that day. They were very lucky my dog was not back there when they did come. When I realized someone was there, I tried to call to find out if it was them or Ideatek - no answer and voice mailbox was full. I eventually found an email that had been sent late the previous day stating they were coming the next day which I didn't see until several days later. Communication overall was very poor, as I'm sure you can surmise here. I've never hired someone to plant trees en masse and am somewhat embarrassed that I didn't inquire about coaching or help with care after planting. I definitely won't make that mistake again. I'm guessing the owners will rebut this post after I put it up; I'm sure there will be a professional explanation for each of the scenarios I've described here. Bottom line: if you're a person who needs good communication from the contractors you hire and/or want help maintaining the live plants after they are put in, look elsewhere.

We just had the most beautiful landscaping feature put in our front yard by Daniel and his crew! We had a place where a tree was sucking up the water and grass wouldn’t grow well. Nothing like turning a problem into something beautiful. We now have a stone feature with a dwarf lilac tree, hibiscus bushes, rose bushes, hydrangeas and other landscape plants and two beautiful decorative rocks (complete with drip irrigation). Started on Wednesday morning, completed by Friday afternoon. We would HIGHLY recommend Daniel’s Lawn and Landscaping Service for any of your landscaping needs. Honest and hardworking, with an eye for beauty and design! We couldn’t be more pleased.
