**IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD!!!!!** I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company, particularly the owner, Dave, and how he chose to handle a legitimate customer concern. I wanted to have two rooms cleaned. All arrangements were made through text messages. I never spoke with anyone by phone when scheduling the service. There were several text exchanges regarding pricing, specials, scheduling, and changes to the service date. I informed the co that I had decided to have only one room cleaned instead of two. At no point was I advised after that I would still be charged a minimum fee equivalent to cleaning two rooms, nor was that price confirmed with me after I changed the service. The technicians arrived and cleaned only one room. When presented the invoice, I was shocked to see that I had been charged $179.99, totaling $190.78 with tax, for **two rooms deep cleaned and deodorized**, despite only one room having been cleaned. Listing two rooms as cleaned when only one was actually serviced is inaccurate and raises serious concerns about the company's billing practices. I pointed out the discrepancy to the technician. Both men were kind, courteous, and professional throughout the visit. This review is absolutely not a reflection on them. I paid the bill so I would not hold them up and expected to address the issue directly with the owner afterward. Dave called me, and I explained what had happened. He challenged my account of the communications. Shortly afterward, the female employee who had been texting with me called and acknowledged that she had not made the pricing arrangement clear. She apologized, accepted responsibility for the error, and offered to relay this to the owner—which she did. Dave subsequently called me back and offered to provide a credit toward a future cleaning. I explained that this was not an appropriate resolution because it would require me to return to the same company to receive the benefit. I was seeking a fair resolution to the billing issue for the service I had just received, not an incentive to purchase more services. I fully anticipated a refund of some degree for the second room. As a business owner myself, I explained to Dave that I would never allow a customer to leave feeling misled and then argue with them when they raised a legitimate concern—particularly when his own employee had acknowledged the communication failure and accepted responsibility for it. Accountability means taking responsibility for a mistake and working toward a reasonable resolution, not expecting the customer to absorb the consequences. The conversation became argumentative, and I ultimately told Dave that he was entitled to make his own business decisions, but I would not be using the company again. I also advised him that I intended to share my experience in a Google review. **WHAT HAPPENED NEXT WAS THE FINAL STRAW.** I am absolutely appalled by the owner's behavior, particularly his threat to retaliate against me if I posted a Google review that was unfavorable to his business. Dave encouraged me to write the review and then stated that he would write a horrible review of my business in retaliation. He has NEVER used my business or my services and has NO firsthand experience with the quality of my work. Threatening to post a negative review of a business he knows NOTHING about simply because a customer intends to share her own experience is deeply unprofessional and completely unacceptable. It shows he has no integrity and supports my claims of being dishonest and misleading. I am appalled that he made such threats at all. Customers deserve transparent pricing, clear communication and fair treatment when billing concerns arise, and professional conduct from business owners. Mistakes happen. How a business chooses to address mistakes speaks volumes about its integrity and commitment to customer service. Instead, I was being threatened with retaliation for speaking up. I would not use this company again, ever! IT IS NEVER OK TO THREATEN A CUSTOMER WITH RETALIATION

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify a few details regarding your experience. Prior to your appointment, you asked about pricing for one or two rooms, and our team explained via text that our minimum service was two rooms for $179.99, plus tax. Although your original request was for one/two rooms, you ultimately elected to have one room cleaned, with only spot treatment performed in an additional area. During your appointment, our technicians offered multiple times to clean both rooms at the established minimum price, but you chose to proceed with the reduced scope of service. Our minimum service charge remained applicable. However, we acknowledge that the invoice description did not accurately reflect the work performed, and we apologize for that error. Both our office and Dave separately offered options to resolve your concern, including credits and complimentary room cleanings at a future appointment. Although you preferred a refund, we made multiple efforts to reach a resolution. We stand by our established pricing policy and remain committed to treating our customers professionally. We regret that we were unable to reach an agreement.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. I paid $240 to have a badly stained carpet professionally cleaned. I understood upfront that stain removal could not be guaranteed and was willing to take that chance. What really bothered me happened after the cleaning was completed and I had already paid. The lead technician told me he believed the stains would likely not come out because he thought the staining was in the carpet padding. If that was his professional assessment, I believe it should have been communicated to me before performing the service. Had I known that, I would have saved the $240 and put it toward replacing the carpet instead. The carpet initially looked better, but as it dried, the stains returned. Even more concerning, within two days the room developed an extremely foul odor that absolutely was not there before the cleaning. It became so bad that I initially thought I had a plumbing/septic problem or even a dead animal in my home. I eventually isolated the odor to the carpet, and it has become a serious problem in my house. I was told the carpet would take approximately 8 hours to dry, but it remained extremely wet much longer. I initially had the windows open for ventilation and later closed them and ran the AC because it was hot. I waited 24 hours before replacing furniture. I was never told that fans or any other special drying measures were required. I contacted the owner before leaving this review. He was polite and responsive, spoke with his technician and called me back. He told me they had cleaned multiple homes that day and no one else had reported an issue. I appreciate that he followed up, but this review reflects my experience in my home. The room did not have this odor before the cleaning, and I am now dealing with a serious odor problem. Unfortunately, no satisfactory resolution was offered. I’m including the after photos for you all to see. I understand that no company can guarantee stain removal. My issue is that the lead technician apparently believed the staining was in the padding and likely would not come out, but I wasn't told that until after the service was completed and paid for. Between that, the stains returning and the severe new odor, I’m extremely disappointed with the outcome. The odor being the worst of it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with the results. We would like to clarify that the condition of the carpet padding cannot be determined by looking at the carpet’s surface. It was only after the cleaning, when the stains remained or returned, that the possibility of staining within the padding became apparent. Unfortunately, some stains penetrate beyond the carpet fibers and may reappear as the carpet dries, despite professional cleaning. Our technicians followed our standard cleaning procedures. While we take your concerns about the odor seriously, without an inspection, we cannot determine its cause or confirm that it was a result of the cleaning. As you mentioned, we spoke with you directly, consulted with the technician, and followed up regarding your concerns. We understand that the outcome was not what you hoped for, but we believe it is important to clarify that the technician could not have assessed the condition of the padding before the carpet was cleaned and that it was disclosed prior to scheduling your appointment that the stains could be permanent or unable to remove entirely.

Billy and Colin from D.C. Carpet Care are the best. This was my first time using D.C. Carpet Care and they exceeded my expectations. The carpet was so old and stained, and it came out beautiful. Billy and Colin were courteous and professional, explained the process and answered all my questions. They did a great job cleaning the carpet. I highly recommend them. The three photos show the carpet before, during and after cleaning.
