Great Experience. Nicely completed deck. Bob and his workers were nothing but professional and courteous. Work was quick, and done with great attention to details.

I recently needed to replace my deck to make it more functional and aesthetically appealing. After interviewing several companies, comparing prices, and reviewing different designs, I met Bob from Decks By All Means. He showed up with a notepad and went straight to work—no high-tech gadgets or high-pressure sales tactics, just honest advice on what would work best for me. He even pointed out structural flaws in the other plans I had been given, saving me significant time and money. His pricing was fair, and his crew was remarkable. They were polite, punctual, respectful of my property, and easily some of the hardest workers I have ever seen. They finished the project exactly on time with total professionalism. Best of all, the deck looks absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for an honest, no-nonsense builder, I cannot recommend Decks By All Means enough!

We hired Bob Means to replace our old wood deck with a Trex deck with some lighting and couldn't be happier with the results. Bob listened to exactly what we wanted — a straightforward deck replacement, extended by a couple of feet, with lighting added. No upselling, no unnecessary add-ons. We got quotes from two other companies who completely missed the mark, proposing overpriced projects loaded with features we never asked for. Bob's quote was fair, transparent, and matched exactly what we discussed. The crew was kind, professional, and hardworking, and kept the job site neat throughout. In the end, Bob delivered exactly what he promised at a fair price with a team that was a pleasure to work with. We'd hire him again without hesitation and highly recommend him to anyone looking for honest, quality deck work.

Bob and and his team are excellent to work with. They did a incredible job and we couldn't be happier with the results. Discussed our project with Bob and he offered some excellent suggestions which improved the end results. They removed our entire old wooden deck down to the ground and rebuilt it so we could ensure it was done properly with all new materials. We decided to use Trex decking with Trex railing to eliminate future maintenance and provide a much longer life. The sample of decking that Bob initially showed us was exactly what we were looking for. The crew was very respectful of our property and cleaned up everything after the job was complete. Highly recommend Bob and his team to anyone looking for deck work.

When it became necessary to replace our 20+ year old deck I contacted two builders for recommendations and cost estimates. The first company sent a salesman who recommended we visit the company showroom to learn about materials and design options. The next builder to come out was Bob Means the OWNER of Decks by all Means. As the owner looked over our project he took out a pencil and pad upon which he hand drew a detailed draft based on measurements he took. He explained material details of the Trex options available to best meet our needs. After receiving the cost estimates and materials we selected Decks by all Means. Bob and his knowledgeable crew led by Yesser built our new Trex deck in only 3 days at a cost several dollars below their competitor’s!! BY ALL MEANS I highly recommend Bob, Yesser and crew! We hired Bob Means of Decks by All Means to screen in our existing backyard deck—a project that involved demolishing the original structure and building a brand-new one from the ground up. After meeting with several local contractors, we chose Bob based on his strong reputation and consistently positive reviews, and he absolutely lived up to them. Bob is an experienced, highly skilled contractor who has been building decks and porches in the Triangle for many years. He takes a refreshingly straightforward, old-school approach—preferring phone calls and in-person visits, providing simple, clear invoices, and delivering exactly what he promises with no surprises. His pricing was very fair, and he was incredibly patient and thorough in answering all of our questions throughout the process. The project took just over two months from start to finish. Every crew involved—from framing to electrical to painting—was professional, punctual, respectful of our space, and clearly excellent at their craft. Bob kept us well informed every step of the way, setting expectations clearly and communicating any updates or delays in advance. We couldn’t be happier with the final result. If you’re considering contractors for a similar project, you can stop your search—Bob is the one to hire.

This team was the best. You need to hire them over any others you are looking at. Do what they say, on time, and super quality and professional carpentry. Recommend.

Fantastic Job, from start to finish the service that Bob and his team provided was amazing. Old deck teardown took 1-2 days. Total project was done in 4 days. We are thrilled with the help and are referring to other friends and family! Thanks again.!
