We couldn’t have been happier with De Lucia’s Bakery for our wedding cakes and desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully done, and they made such a special part of our day even better. I actually told the owner that I don’t like cake, and she confidently told me, “I can make a cake hater like cake.” And holy shit, she was RIGHT. 😂 The cake was incredible! My mom is a pretty tough critic, and she said it was the best cake she’s ever had, which says everything. Beyond the amazing taste, everything was made with so much care and was the perfect addition to our wedding. We’re so grateful we chose De Lucia’s and can’t recommend them enough. If you’re looking for a bakery for your wedding or any special occasion, look no further! They absolutely delivered. ❤️

Every single guest stopped me to tell me that both the wedding cake and tiramisu were the best they’ve ever tasted. Thank you, DeLucia’s for making my wedding day perfect!

Best bakery in Moore County

I am originally from the north where Italian food, bread and pastry is very popular and good. The establishment itself presents as dark and not welcoming, so that was my first impression. My husband and I grabbed a loaf of bread off the shelf, and were in line waiting to order pastry. Apparently a customer walked away with another customers bag of four bagels. I can only assume the woman who made a scene was the owner ( dark hair, short in stature) she started dropping F bombs and ran out of the restaurant to chase down the four bagels, came back in with them and gave it to the correct customer. Once food leaves an establishment it should not be brought back in to be given to another customer. I personally would not have accepted the bag. The right thing to do is take the loss on the four bagels vs making a scene and swearing to retrieve them. She then proceeded to become very loud and disrespectful to the young girl at the register and asked her for an order slip for another customer, while the clerk was trying to attend to several customers. My husband and I were getting ready to leave if the behavior didn’t stop as we felt so bad for this young girl who was being yelled at in front of several people. We moved south to get away from rude people and be surrounded by southern hospitality, shame on this woman for her poor and disrespectful behavior. So I give the establishment a zero for customer service. We ordered bought bread, a lobster tail, elephant ear and a donut. The bread is okay, not what we are use to, hot bread coming out of ovens and selling quicker than they can be made. The bread tasted blah and not fresh. The lobster tail was delicious, as was the elephant ear, my husband said the donut was okay, the filling wasn’t sweet enough and Harris Teeter sells better. The prices lean on the higher side, which I don’t mind if the environment feels great and the food is great. Sadly that was not the case. We were definitely hoping to find an amazing bakery but this fell short. I hope that young lady quits, no one deserves to be treated with such disrespect.

Dena helped me with a gender reveal jumbo cupcake order and she happily went out of her way for me. The gender results arrived later than expected and yet she gladly offered to have the cupcakes ready next day! I was so grateful to her! The cupcakes were also very yummy; so moist and perfectly sweetened, not too crazy sweet. Will definitely return to place future orders and highly recommend DeLucia's to anyone.

This was the 2nd time I’ve ordered from here. I’ve now received 2 cakes and they’ve both been fantastic but this one was absolutely sensational. The artwork was incredible and the taste was beyond amazing. My wife couldn’t have been happier with this cake. Will continue to do business with this place!

We used DeLucia’s for our wedding cake, and they delivered the cake of our dreams!!! Not only was it exactly what we envisioned look-wise, but it tasted even better! We had a couple extra slices put aside to bring home with us and ate them for late night snack/breakfast after our wedding. Our guests were raving about it too!! We did lemon cake with blueberry filling, & Dena nailed the vintage look with cherries. She was so great to work with at our tasting, gave great advice & direction through the process, we even left with other bakery goodies that were delicious! She delivered the perfect cake in every way.

These bagels are my only go to being from New York.
