I think it’s really amazing that not only are they a professional company, but they also have some stellar designations, including being a master home inspector and teaching classes for other home inspectors.

Did a home inspection for me in December 2022. I have since had something come up that should have been caught. They are unwilling to assist in any resolution not to mention they hung up on me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to provide some important context regarding this matter.
The home inspection referenced in this review was performed in December 2022, nearly four years ago. Given the amount of time that has passed, this matter is outside the applicable timeframe for bringing a claim related to that inspection.
We also want to clarify that a contractor stating that an issue “should have been caught” does not necessarily mean that the condition was present, visible, or within the scope of a home inspection at the time the property was inspected. A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive evaluation of the conditions that are observable on the date of inspection; it is not a warranty against future problems.
The concern brought to our attention involves a sump pump. Under the Standards of Practice governing our inspection and as outlined in the scope of our services, we do not operate or activate sump pumps as part of a standard home inspection. Therefore, determining the operational performance of the sump pump was not part of the inspection performed in 2022.
We take client concerns seriously and are always willing to professionally discuss issues that fall within the scope of the inspection. However, we cannot accept responsibility for conditions outside the inspection scope, conditions that may have developed or changed in the years following an inspection, or conclusions made years later by a third-party contractor.
We stand behind the inspection performed and the Standards of Practice under which it was conducted.
