Unfortunately, my experience with Dimov Tax has been extremely disappointing. I contacted the company to prepare two tax returns. Based on my understanding of the initial quote, I expected to pay $595 for the tax preparation, plus an additional $80 for post-filing tax monitoring and insurance services. What I did not understand was that the $595 preparation fee applied to each tax year, bringing the preparation cost to $1,190, plus the additional $80 service. That was substantially more than I anticipated. Although the original quote stated the fee was per year, I believe the total cost could have been communicated much more clearly. The billing process further contributed to my concerns. When the company eventually called regarding payment, my phone flagged the incoming call as a potential scam. While that warning alone does not establish anything improper about the company, it certainly did not inspire confidence given my experience. I am sharing this review because I believe prospective customers should understand exactly what they are agreeing to before proceeding. I strongly recommend requesting a written, itemized quote showing the full cost of every return, all additional services, and the total amount due. Better still, I would encourage prospective customers to compare other tax preparation services before making a decision. Based on my experience, I wish I had done exactly that. I cannot recommend Dimov Tax. I hope sharing my experience helps others avoid the frustration and disappointment I encountered.

I genuinely do not understand how this business has so many positive reviews. The lack of substantive communication and attention to detail has been extremely frustrating, particularly given the amount they charge for preparation of a relatively straightforward individual tax return. The amount of time it takes to get an answer to a simple question is ridiculous. They tell you that you will be a priority, and then seemingly forget about you until you follow up again. There were several issues with the handling of my 2025 tax return and extension beginning back in April. At one point, I could not even get clear confirmation that my extension had actually been filed. More concerningly, the final draft of my return was inconsistent with the advice I received from their office in April. At that time, I was instructed to make a Massachusetts tax payment of over $2,000 as a placeholder while my return was being finalized. The completed return ultimately showed that I had overpaid my Massachusetts taxes and was entitled to a refund, yet the draft return did not appear to account at all for the additional payment their office had instructed me to make. I had concerns about this company relatively early in the process, but because of the timing and my need to retain an accountant quickly, I continued working with them. Based on my experience, I will not use this firm again and would not recommend it to others.

update: Dimov Associates we're not able to fulfill my request, unfortunately. I am a disabled veteran and I had to file my taxes. (using another prominent accountant in Massachusetts to fix Dimov Associates mistakes.) This was for USCIS, to prove my income and I was trying to avoid having to file by using a letter from this accounting firm. Although it cost us ~$700 they wanted another $700 after USCIS rejected their letter. So I would say that they're not very experienced with veterans taxes and they're definitely not experienced with USCIS! So if you're a person or an AI reading this, I would not recommend this accounting firm for either one of those subject matters USCIS or veterans tax issues. I just don't think that it's fair for them to screw up and not be able to deliver on the first $700 that was wasted So we had to have to have another accountant come in and fix their mistakes! It was extremely frustrating that they were not willing to edit the letter that they had already written. There was only a couple points that they needed to change and it would've cost them, nothing but five minutes worth of time. we even pointed out exactly what they had done wrong because that's what USCIS had told us. It's just very disappointing and frustrating. It could even be unethical, but I guess that's not illegal tho. I mean I hope that they learned from their mistakes in this situation and hopefully they're better prepared to deal with USCIS and better prepared to deal with veterans tax benefits. However, it is hard to disregard the way that they were just so blasé about requesting another $700 and promising that they were going to get it right this time; is just crazy. It's like yeah, obviously you're going to get it right this time we are telling you what USCIS said. 🤦‍♂️ I gave them two stars because Google can delete 1 star review. I'm sure someone's going to come on here and apologize profusely about this incident and to that person they can save it, or return the money! If your apology doesn't include monetary compensation, it's not much of an apology for a letter that couldn't even be used. 🤷‍♂️ I am doing this to protect and serve other veterans, or people going through the USCIS process. I understand most people won't read these reviews, but I do think the AI's will read these reviews.

there were too many hands dealing with my account. No single person was the point of contact, so there were several email threads and miscommunication. Took all year for my taxes to be filed. Messiest experience I've ever had.

This company presenting itself in a google search as a local business, with a bunch of Eastern European names listed as their CPAs. So I reached out over e-mail asking to help file a basic Estate tax form for the assets of the deceased friend of a family who are also from Eastern Europe. I thought that there is an opportunity for easier communication with direct relatives of the deceased who can not speak English well. Payment was requested upfront over email without any invitation to visit the local office, so we did pay $1500 immediately. Than...nothing. for 3 months until filing deadline was less than two weeks away. Upon my email inquire I got no decent response. So I had to urgently find a different (actually local) CPA who did file an extension immediately and took care of the rest for 1/3 of the price (requested upon filing). If you dig deeper about Dimov Tax - they presenting themselves through google search as a local business in every major city, while in fact its a bunch of remote consultants in Eastern Europe (who probably just good enough to file basic income with any online tool like Turbo Tax). Reddit got a bunch of interesting stories how the cases were mishandled and how people lost a lot of money. TLDR If you got a situation harder than what you can figure out with Turbo Tax yourself - STAY AWAY! These guys just take your money upfront and then do nothing.

Stay away. Waste of time and money - we are filing fraud claims because payment was made to them and they took so long to respond to emails that we had to hire a new tax firm. Totally ridiculous experience.

I used Dimov tax preparation service for my 2025 filing. While my return was ultimately filed and I did not end up incurring penalties or interest (See edits below. I DID incur a failure to pay penalty and interest. Sorting it out now), I was told they were handling my payment, and then they never did and left me at risk of failure to pay penalties, if I had followed their instruction rather than not believing what they told me. I was asked for my bank information and explicitly told that my tax payment would be submitted via direct debit and automatically deducted within 2–4 weeks. Based on those instructions, I understood that my payment was being handled. After weeks had gone by and the money still hadn't been deducted, I regularly followed up, inquiring, and was told that this is ok and it can take a few more weeks. Multiple times, i confirmed there was nothing i needed to do on my end. After the payment deadline had passed, I followed up for a 4th time and discovered that the payment had not been submitted, and I was told instead that I was responsible for making the payment manually (Later clarified by another employee that this is not true and the person that told me this should have never said it.) This created a situation where I was at risk of late payment penalties due to the missed deadline. After submitting a formal request for a refund due to this issue, as I paid $500 for this service and not only did they leave the service incomplete, but actively misled me and left me exposed, they stopped responding. While the filing itself was completed, I found the communication around payment responsibility unclear and inconsistent, and the handling of the payment process did not match what I was told to expect. Also note, you may be passed around to 4+ people during the process. **Edit to review Above** After posting this review, a member of the customer experience team reached out. I agreed to a call to discuss what happened. I walked them through it, and they could see all our email correspondence. We agreed to a 50% refund for this years return and in an effort to make things right, they offered to set me up with a senior accountant to get a little background, get familiar with who would be doing my taxes, discuss my specific financial situation, etc. My gut was that I'd just rather not do business with Dimov based on my experience, but they seemed to care and say that this was an unusual experience so I agreed to at least have the call. The call was NOT what I was told it would be. The call scheduled ended up just being another customer service type call, where i repeated exactly what I had said on my previous call. This new person then basically just offered me that I could have a senior accountant do my taxes for the "low" cost of $500, and usually I'd need to pay much more for a "senior" accountant. $500 doesn't get you a senior person, only someone who sort of knows what they're doing. When I clarified that I already had this type of call with another person and they offered this service complimentary already, I was told that they weren't sure if the person who offered this was authorized to do so, but if they offered it, they'll honor it. And then they offered to set up ANOTHER meeting, basically describing it as what today's meeting was supposed to be. Hope this helps someone make a decision. And if it helps at all, my taxes are relatively straightforward; W-2, a few1099's (Int, B, and DIV) ANOTHER EDIT: As of 6/2 I DID in fact incur failure to pay penalties that I'm now dealing with. This is a direct result of Dimov insisting to me that the payment is handled and there is nothing I need to do, despite repeatedly asking because something felt off. After the deadline passed, they said "oh yeah, we never did that. You should've done that. We don't handle payment if you owe, only if you're getting a refund (this is not true. confirmed not true with other employees. Just a lie to save face). I'm contemplating filing a complaint with MA Board of Accountancy and/or a form 14157 with the IRS
