We used District Sitter for our wedding, and they delivered in spades! To start, Eugenia impressed us with a rundown of District Sitter’s wide range of age-appropriate activities and sound approach to nannying across a wide range of ages. The process only grew easier from there: we collected information on all the kids at our wedding, and they handled the rest. Their setup and takedown were efficient and thorough, and their drop-off system offered an easy, commonsense way for parents to sign in and sign out their kids. On top of that, the kids had a great time: Sarah, Madison, and Maria were enthusiastic, professional, and communicative with our event planning staff. They were also a ton of fun: The kids themselves raved about it afterwards! We even heard from parents that District Sitter proved a great and welcome resource for all our little guests. In short, they gave us top-notch treatment, and everyone—kids and adults alike—came away satisfied and content. We would happily book them again!
District Sitters did such a wonderful job at our wedding! We both have big families with a ton of children across a variety of age ranges. It was important to us that children were able to come, but that parents could also have a great time. District Sitters performed exceptionally well. The kids loved them and the parents loved having a break. Can't recommend them enough!!
Highly recommend using District Sitters for your childcare needs! I was nervous about having someone watch my 8 month old son, but the District Sitters team was so kind and professional that they put my nerves to rest right away! My son loved everyone from District Sitters and had so much fun with them. I received thorough updates from the DS team that helped me feel in the loop and totally at ease. I will use their services anytime I’m in the DC area in the future!
My 4 year old child had a blast while being cared for by the District Sitter staff. They were professional and personable. They came prepared to care, entertain and support our children while we organized and debriefed our advocacy work.
We utilized District Sitter event childcare for young children at our hotel while parents attended a day of advocacy at congressional buildings & meetings with senators. A day when you need childcare! The service was professional from my first phone call with them. Our sitters were on time and came with great activities. They handled the day. The children had a wonderful time and some did not want to leave at pickup time! I own a childcare agency myself and I know what it looks like when a childcare service prioritizes safety, sincerely cares about customer service, and cares about their staff. I recommend District Sitter.
District Sitter is fantastic not just for families, but caregivers as well. I'm a Career Nanny and was looking for my next family. District Sitter, especially Jessika and Eugenia, are great. I could tell they cared about me as the nanny having a great fit and not just the family. I would highly recommend District Sitter.<br>I have found a great family I am sure I will be with for years.

I hired them for my wedding, and they texted my wedding planner once the ceremony had already started to say the sitters wouldn’t make it, because there was an issue with the metro. We offered to pay for their Uber but no response. My wedding planner had to watch the kids.

Hi Julianne, we completely understand how frustrating and upsetting this situation was. This is not up to our standards of service as this has never happened before in our six years in business.<br><br>We are terribly sorry that the sitters were stuck for hours on the metro due to a person standing on the tracks and refusing to leave until the police came and assessed the situation and it was safe for them to exit the platform. <br>We did communicate with your wedding planner through text and email that evening prior to the start time that we were hired for to let her know what happened with as much information as possible. We hope that you understand we did everything we could to help and we apologize again for the trouble.
