Michael Kwan is an exceptional trainer, and we couldn’t be happier to have him as our training partner at Dog Training Elite Austin. He is incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and patient, not just with our pup, Maxx, but with me as well. Maxx has grown leaps and bounds under his guidance. Seeing how well he responds…
Michael has helped our dog so much! 10/10 would recommend!
We worked with Michael to train our dog, Auggie. Michael was awesome. You can immediately tell he has experience training dogs. He’s realistic, thoughtful, patient, and diligent. Our dog is not only better trained but he’s a happier dog because of it. Michael was always on time and ready to go. You can tell he’s…
We worked with Michael, and he is the best! Our dog, Tink, was very reactive and very frightened of most people. We have seen so much improvement over the course of the program, and it is all thanks to him! He is so patient with both us and Tink as we get the hang of each skill, and we truly appreciate all of his…
We had an amazing experience working with Michael at Dog Training Elite! Our 1-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback was extremely reactive, and the improvement we’ve seen has been incredible. He’s still a work in progress, but he’s come such a long way, and we feel so much more confident handling him. Michael is…
I found Dog Training Elite-Austin after working with two other companies for training; and my experience with DTE-Austin has been far superior! We are working with Payton (trainer) for both obedience and service dog training. Danny (my pup) started off shy and Payton was able to develop trust with him at the first…
Dog Training Elite has truly been life-changing for me and my dogs! Before finding Dog Training Elite, I had worked with three different trainers. While positive reinforcement training provided a good foundation, we eventually reached a point where my dogs weren’t progressing any further. With the guidance of Jenny…
We absolutely love Dog Training Elite! We couldn’t recommend them more! After only a few sessions, our very rambunctious golden is a whole new dog. The training program has been so beneficial and we’re constantly learning new ways to help our dog succeed. We appreciate the patience, consistency, and dedication that go into every session.
I would select our trainer again because our dog has made progress after every session!! We are given tasks to work with her on and she is now an amazingly obedient dog! Her German Shepherd side blossomed with the guidance and tools we were given. Thank you M!
Dear Michael, Thank you for such an impactful experience. You’ve dramatically improved my relationship with Zena and my understanding of what it truly means to lead a pack with patience, consistency, love, and confidence. Our time during the one-on-one sessions has been incredibly memorable, and I truly appreciate…
This team is willing to work with you on your dog training needs. Adjust the training approaches and pivot when needed. Very virtuous and personable and willing to address any issues as they arise. They really care for their customers. Money well invested for your self and your K9 companion.
Not to start too depressing. I lost my service partner of years and my lifestyle was drastically affected. Being somewhat lost in the woods I contacted Dog Training Elite. Talk about literal life savers. Jenny listened to my situation and service animal needs. She assisted me through this whole journey from…
We’ve had experience with dog trainers before, but Michael at Dog Training Elite is truly the best. Experienced and patient (with us parents, not just our pup!), he knew exactly how to teach us how to get our 18-month old girl to respond. She absolutely loves him too! If/when we have new pups join our household,…
Michael was the BEST!!! He was so encouraging for our dog and us along the way! We are more confident in our ability to guide our dog through reactions and unwanted behaviors - huge improvements!! Can't wait to start group training now!
I was hesitant at first since I’ve never used this service before but they were kind and explained what they can offer. Mike my trainer has been so great. Wishing two weeks i saw a difference in my dog’s obedience l and leash training. Each week my dog just gets better and
We cannot say enough good things about Michael and the incredible work he has done with our reactive dog, Tito. From day one, Michael was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping both Tito and us succeed. What we appreciated most was that he didn’t just train our dog—he trained us as owners as…
We have two 2yo male bullies (100 & 125lbs) that were having some hierarchy/reactivity issues together. We knew they were both amazing dogs and wanted to invest in their training so that, through discipline, we could help them learn our expectations, earn our trust, and earn additional freedoms as they progress. Our…
Payton has been amazing to work with! We’ve completed 11 of our 12 one-on-one training sessions, and within just two months, our 5.5-month-old Goldendoodle, Cooper, became service dog certified. What I appreciated most was how much confidence she built in both Cooper and me throughout the process. From training in…
Michael Kwan and the team at Dog Training Elite in Austin are fantastic, and I would recommend them to anyone. It started with a free in-home consultation, where Michael explained the process, our options, and what we could expect from training. He did it in an approachable way that made clear he has a deep…
I had a great experience having my dog trained by Michael. He was extremely friendly and my dog Jax loved every single second with him. Michael was able to take all of my concerns with Jax and create a curated plan to help Jax with those concerns. His leash manners are significantly better, he has gotten much better…
We did a lot of research regarding dog trainers in our area and from our first meeting with our DTE trainer, we knew we were in good hands. Our trainer has been nothing short of fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgeable, prompt, thorough, friendly, aware, confident, tough, flexible, and helpful. The cost of our…
Payton is the best! Our little guy, Monty, was a handful. He was treating us like a litter mate. She helped us gain confidence and control. We are all happier and Monty is able to have a lot more fun with us!! Would highly recommend!!
Training with Payton has been such a transformative experience for both Laney and me. Laney is a senior rescue who was picked up as a stray, so there were some basic things she needed to learn and some behaviors I didn't understand or know how to change. Payton has taken time to understand our situation and what our…
Michael has been awesome to work with! My dog Loki is training to be a service animal, and since working with him, he has gained so much confidence. Michael is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and truly understands how to build both skills and trust. He’s also very communicative, kind, and easy to work with. If…
Michael Kwan is a fantastic trainer. He made educating an English Bulldog look easy (which it isn’t!). Super personable guy. Would work well with anyone. Highest recommendation from me and from Moose.
Our trainer Payton has been amazing with our German Shepherd Bella. She has been patient with Bella and strict when needed. Our Bella has shown so much progress since starting her program all thanks to Payton. Payton is aslo very knowledgeable and was able to answer questions and concerns. While also helping us be…
My wife and I wanted our Vizsla puppy, Polo, to be service trained with the goal of him becoming a full service dog when he's grown. We found Dog Training Elite and were paired with Mike — and it's been an great experience. Mike is an expert with dogs. He has a great ability to read them and always knows the right…
Michael from Dog Training Elite has been absolutely amazing to work with. From the very first session, his knowledge, patience, and ability to connect with both us and our dog really stood out. What impressed us most was how he helped us understand Cricket’s strengths and showed us how to use those to guide his…
Michael has been working with my dog Snoopy for a little over a month now and has helped so so much with overall obedience and her reactivity. Looking forward to continuing to work with him!
Payton, Jennie and the team at Dog Training Elite Austin are AMAZING! My puppy has learned so much, alongside my senior dogs who wanted to get in on the lessons. SO grateful for their help. Most certainly recommending them to all my puppy parent friends.
We had our first training session today with Payton and our puppy, and it was a fantastic experience. Our little guy is incredibly smart — sometimes a little too clever for his own good — and Payton did an excellent job quickly addressing our biggest concerns. Within just a few minutes, we were already seeing…
It was great working with trainer Michael. He is very knowledgable and helpful and we recommend him highly!
Elite training transformed my biting puppy into a well-trained happy little companion. I nearly gave her back to the APA but Jenny intervened and rescued both me and my little pup. We’ve made it through the program and I am so happy that I never surrendered her. Jenny’s first visit made the biggest difference and it was downhill from there!!
Jenny at Dog Training Elite is fantastic. Her training approach is clear, effective, and tailored to my dog’s specific behaviors. She took the time to explain the “why” behind each technique and made sure we felt confident continuing the training on our own. We started seeing results in our very first session, and…
Working with Mike through DTE's psychiatric service dog training has been such a positive experience for both me and my dog Sugar. From day one, she’s been completely comfortable with him, and it really shows in how quickly she picks up what he teaches. Mike takes the time to explain every small detail and why it…
Michael has been incredible to work with and learn from! My dog, Gio, absolutely adores him. He has made me feel so much more comfortable handling Gio & working towards our goal of becoming a therapy dog. Thank you DTE!!
We had a great experience with dog training elite!! Michael was so patient and attentive with our pup and was able to help us in all the areas we were concerned about! He was always available via text or call if we had questions and I felt so supported through out the whole training process! I’m excited to continue with group classes! Highly recommend!!
I worked with Michael, and he was great with my dog Oliver, who is a terrier mix. Michael was very patient and showed me exactly what to do when trying new commands with Oliver and then made sure I was doing everything correctly on my own. He also encouraged me to text him with any questions or issues that came up…
Michael is a phenomenal trainer! He is very patient, calm, and extremely professional. His gentle and kind disposition puts my dog, Apple, and me at ease right away. It’s clear that he knows what he’s doing and has a lot of knowledge. With Michael’s training, I’m impressed by how quickly and confidently my dog is…
Jenny and Donny are amazing. My dog had obedience training, we’re still going to group lessons and now, I upgraded to service dog training. They truly understand dog behavior and how to work with your dog. If you read a horrible review, please double check that it’s valid and not a scam. I’ve been a client for…
Finally, we found the best of the best in dog trainers. Donny, Jenny and Michael brought professionalism and exceptional knowledge over the past months to train our high energy Border Collie. Their patience and encouragement have made a huge difference for our puppy. Thank you, Team DTE!
Jenny has made this experience so easy. The application and interview process went smoothly. Her attentiveness to myself and my dog makes everything comfortable and safe. 5 stars aren't enough to show how amazing this organization is.
The Dog Training Elite team is absolutely life changing. We have been training with Jenny for many months and just upgraded our package to lifetime because we believe in this program so wholeheartedly. Our dog has gone through puppy, obedience, and therapy training with DTE and we could not be happier with the…
Michael has been a fabulous trainer - cannot recommend him enough! We saw a huge difference in our dog after our first session and, now, four sessions later, we have the perfect dog for our family. We’re so grateful for Dog Training Elite.
We honestly cannot say enough positive things about working with Donny at DTE. He's worked with our two dogs who are both incredibly different and his connection, understanding, and ability to meet the needs of each has been next-level. Donny's calm, grounded energy and deep ability to read the dynamics of the…
Mike has been incredible to work with. He immediately had our dog’s trust and was able to train our dog with each command. He was then patient with us as he taught us the skills to replicate. We also loved that he came to us. It’s hard to believe what we’ve accomplished with him in just a few sessions. Our dog went…
We’ve seen such a huge improvement in our 3-year-old pup since working with Mike! He’s not only helping our dog learn, but he’s also helping us gain confidence as owners. What stands out is how Mike explains the reasoning behind each piece of guidance—it gives us the tools to stay consistent at home. Our pup’s leash…
Working with DTE has been phenomenal. Everyone has been kind, professional, and understanding every step of the way, from our initial evaluation, through our individual training classes, to group classes. We have nothing but gratefulness for the DTE Austin Team. Our doggo has always been a good boy, but we needed…
I definitely recommend getting your puppy or dog with Dog Training Elite! This is my first time ever getting a trainer and Bruce is learning so quickly with his trainer, Mike!! Bruce is a 4 month old Doberman and you can see Mike’s work progress with Bruce. They have such a great bond, I can’t wait to see more as Bruce is growing up.
