Initially thought a second spring was needed since I couldn't lift the door during power outage. Additional torsion from the second spring caused the chain rail to flex more. Also found the 20 year old opener's limit controls weren't working. So new rail and opener were installed. Aaron worked through the issues and got the system working smoothly.
