Double D Dog Training

Our rescue dog Pete has always been a very reactive dog since the day we got him. He barked constantly and meeting new people made him so anxious. Dean changed all of that for us! From the start, Dean gave us a clear plan. He taught him how to feel safe around new people, building up gradually and never forcing it. The progress has been incredible. His barking has dropped dramatically, meeting new people is no longer a big stressful event, and he is so much calmer and more confident overall. Dean is knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about both the dogs and their owners. He trained us just as much as he trained Pete, and made us feel confident and equipped to keep the progress going. If you have a reactive or anxious dog, don’t wait. Dean is the real deal. Highly recommend!

Dean is an amazing trainer. He taught my wife and equally as much as he taught our dog Ellie. We highly recommend Dean to come into your home to creates beater experience for you and your dog.

Dean was really great to work with. He came to our home and gave us a lot of helpful tips for working with our Pyr puppy. He was very patient with the humans, both parents and kids alike. We would love to work with him again and recommend him for families with kids and dogs of all ages.

We had such a great experience! I loved that he came directly to our home and not only worked with our dog, but also took the time to teach me how to continue the training on my own. He was so patient, kind, and sweet with our dog, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. We’ve already seen such a difference, and I feel so much more confident knowing how to properly work with our dog moving forward. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great dog trainer!

I learned about Dean and his work through someone I know, and now I’d like to recommend him as well! His training helped my boy Memo realize how smart he is, but also taught me a lot in the process. Through the 4 sessions he had, I bonded lots with my boy and learned positive ways to train. Of course, you get what you put in so that meant practice and lots of patience! I can’t thank Dean enough for working with us.

We had the best time working with Double D! He was fun and professional. My sweet dog loved Double D!

I worked with Dean at Double D Dog Training to train my 6‑month‑old cattle dog puppy, and the experience was outstanding. Dean introduced essential commands like sit, wait, stay, and leave it, and my puppy picked them up quickly thanks to his clear, effective teaching style. He made every session fun, educational, and easy to follow, breaking down each step so we could confidently continue practicing at home. Dean has helped us immensely in getting our puppy started on the right path at an early age. I highly recommend Double D Dog Training for dog owners of all ages and experience. Dean was amazing and we found him after a friend referral. He helped us significantly with teaching our dog basic commands, patience, and how to use rewards to train him and keep him engaged/mentally challenged. Oliver always looked forward to his sessions and had a good nap after. He got the entire family involved and gave us tools to keep working with him between sessions and after graduation. We are grateful for Dean's positivity and kindness and highly recommend his classes.

Dean is awesome. He started working with our Goldendoodle, Newman, when he was 11 weeks old. We had our last of four session with Dean today and the transformation over that time has been fantastic. Newman now sits, lays down, shake, gives hi fives, stays on command and wait until given the release to come to his food bowl when we feed him. Granted he is not perfect, after all he is still a 16 week old puppy, but Dean has given us lots of tools to continue working with Newman. I highly recommend Dean to anyone looking to make there pup a well mannered member of the family.

Dean did a fantastic job with Penny! He seems to have some magic skill to get dogs to behave!
