Dr. T. Jacksonville Math Tutor

Dr. T is a great tutor. He is helping me through Calculus 2 right now and does a great job breaking down difficult concepts. Highly recommend!

The best tutor in town!!

Dr T is the best and our goto. Our son is two years ahead in math (taking sophomore HS level as an eighth grader). We have been sending him to Dr T for two years now. Perfect for breaking down complex concepts and an excellent for reviews ahead of tests and exams.

My daughter has been tutoring with Dr. T for pre-calculus and SAT prep about half a year now and she has shown exponential improvement in her math abilities and grades. I heavily recommend Dr. T for tutoring as only positive things can be said.

Dr T. is phenomenal!!! I’ve been out of school for years so math was a challenge for me. With his excellent tutoring I was able to successfully pass and complete the course. I genuinely enjoyed learning with him and learning to connect the dots. I couldn’t have passed college algebra without him!

Dr. T has been a tutor to both of my children and continue to tutor my daughter for Algebra. Dr. T has made a significant impact in my children’s education. My son struggled to understand his Math work and was falling behind fast. Dr.T met with us at times that worked with our schedule and immediately was able to teach my son in a way my son grasped the math work. My son went from a D to an A and maintained an A the rest of the year. Dr.T is very patient and tutors in a way children can understand. My children both love Dr.T and we credit him with their growth and confidence with their math classes. Dr.T meets us at a safe location at the Pablo Creek Library and he even books the room for us. I’m glad to know that as my daughter continues on through high school that we have Dr.T to reach out to for tutoring.

I absolutely recommend Dr. T for math tutoring. He has helped my daughter with both IB math and SAT prep, and has made a meaningful difference in both confidence and academic progress for her. From the very beginning, he created a supportive and encouraging learning environment that helped turn what was once a frustrating subject into something far more approachable. What stands out most is his patience and ability to explain concepts in ways that actually stick. He takes the time to tailor each session according to what she needs help with in the moment, which has led to steady improvement and a much stronger foundation in math. In just 4 sessions, her SAT math score improved by 70 points, and her IB math grade increased one letter grade, and we will continue to use his services through this school year. He is reliable, professional, easy to communicate with and genuinely invested in my daughter’s success. My daughter really enjoys working with him, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to any family looking for a skilled and compassionate math tutor.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. T as a tutor for Honors Algebra 1 in Jacksonville! My daughter started the year really struggling with topics like systems of equations and function transformations. Dr. T's expertise shines through: he breaks down complex ideas into clear, understandable steps, explained applications in a way that made it click, and is incredibly patient and encouraging. Sessions are always focused and effective—no wasted time. In just a few months, her test scores jumped from the 60s to 90s+, her confidence has soared, and she's now grasping the material so much better and tackling problems independently. Worth every penny. We'll definitely go back to him if she needs help with future math courses—he even 'made math fun' according to her! 5 stars

We had an excellent experience with Dr. T as my son’s math tutor for ISEE middle school test prep. He was patient, encouraging, and incredibly effective at breaking down challenging concepts in a way that finally clicked for my son. Beyond just teaching content, Dr. T helped build my son’s confidence and test-taking strategy, which made a huge difference. My son felt prepared walking into the ISEE, and we saw real improvement in both his skills and mindset. I highly recommend Dr. T to any family navigating middle school admissions — he truly knows how to support kids through this process.

Dr. T is an excellent teacher with tremendous patience. His teaching skills are great and has helped my daughter. Highly recommend him.
