A little over 2 months ago we began having intermittent hot water throughout our home. This included all of our sinks and showers. We usually do laundry in cold water anyway. We thought the 2019 Rinnai tankless water heater was the issue. Of course, receipts were no where to be found so I went to Thumbtack and brought in repair co #1. He was a pleasant fellow and worked dilligently to repair the water heater. After several tries and the problem not really being fixed, we moved on to repair co #2. The problem remained. I did a little research and found the company who sold us the Rinnai. I went back to them to see who they recommended for the repair. The answer was Eason Plumbing. I went ahead and called. Katie answered and set us up for the soonest opening. Thomas came out and declared that the issue was not the water heater. Of course, it could have been a contributor. #1 had cleaned and replaced several parts inside the unit. The interesting thing here is that all 3 contractors came up with the same conclusion; it's not the actual water heater, its probably a faucet. I will have to admit that was a hard thing for me to believe. None the less, there was hot water when Thomas left the house. BUT, the next day, back to square one. I went ahead and bought faucets and called Katie back. She contacted Thomas, and he came back for another look. He wanted to take a look under the house. During the install of the Rinnai, the 2019 contractor put a pair of check valves in line under the house. This afternoon Thomas and Joey installed two new check valves and the hot water is now roaring the way it used too! Much appreciation and THANKS to Thomas, Joey and especially the Best Dispatcher in the World KATIE!!
