The care for my loving 4 legged baby has been top notch. The front desk is always friendly, the doctors have always answered my questions and eased any worries I have. We are treated with respect.
Staff was friendly and my Cat Stevie was taken care of after me having to board her for a couple of days😻
I came in with my senior dog who was having some serious issues. I was actually at the wrong vet I was so flustered I had put the wrong address into my GPS. My pup was having a bit of an emergency and they were so kind and helpful with her in her moment of need even though I had been at the wrong place. The entire staff was so helpful and lovely and the doctor answered all my questions. Highly recommend and appreciate thier service!
I am moving soon and wanted to express my appreciation for Dr. Reid! He was great with my cats. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to answer all of your questions. He will advise you, but comes across as very non-judgmental. I never felt like he tried to push unnecessary interventions either. The office staff and the other vet I saw when he was out have also been great! It’s a little pricey, but in four years I haven’t been disappointed once.

If you have been with this vet since it was Magazine Street Animal Clinic, and you moved to East Riverside because of familiarity... it's time for change. Last week, I went to a different vet for the first time in 8 years. It made a world of difference. It was half the price. It was 4 minutes down Tchoupitoulas from East Riverside, and they don't try to drug your pet for their own convenience due to their own incompetence. Last visit to East Riverside, my cat and I waited for 45 minutes before seeing the vet. I had to go out and ask if they forgot about us. They had. Obviously my cat was anxious about being in the vets office waiting for almost an hour. Understandably she was irritated, confused, and didn't want to be there any longer. This literal vet had seen my cat 2 times before, a different vet there had seen her multiple times before that, and she had been spayed there. Obviously there were records of my cat. Nothing stating she was aggressive or needed to be medicated to be seen. Because she did not, and does not. This vet had the nerve to : 1. Not apologize for having us wait while she ate her lunch after forgetting about us. 2. Call for the 1st assistant to put my cat down, go find a different assistant to replace him because "they can tell when someone's a dog person or a cat person." A different person wasn't even available, the 1st person returned, and the vet was being annoying towards that assistant. Talking down to him, almost. 3. Inquire as to whether or not my cat is "bad at the vet," even though her entire 2 years of life of vet visits is, presumably, listed on the chart pulled up on the computer. 4. Prescribe a light sedative for me to "give her before you bring her in next time." Absolutely not. Over 8 years I have brought 5 pets here. The pricing is insane. The cost of the vet down the road was a fraction of the price of East Riverside. They even have some of their old vets working there. Do yourself, your pet, and your wallet a favor and go somewhere else. Literally anywhere else. East Riverside is the most expensive vet in New Orleans.
ON SATURDAY JUNE 6th I WENT WITH MY CAT PERCY TO DISCUSS HIS COUGH AND TO GIVE HIM A CHECKUP AND APPLY FLEA MEDICINE I ALSO REQUESTED A NAIL TRIM THE DR. WENT MADE A POINT OF EXPLAINING ALL THE WORST CASE SCENARIOS POSSIBLE HE THAN STARTED PUSHING AN X-RAY AS AN ESSENTIAL POINT TO AIDE HIS DIAGNOSTIC ABILITY MIND YOU THE X-RAY IS 450 DOLLARS IS THE ONLY TOOL TO ELIMINATE CANCER A BRAIN TUMOR ENLARGED HEART LUNG CANCER ALSO VESTIBULAR DISEASE, LONG LONG STORY SHORT MY CAT WAS SO FREAKED AND THE VET HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO ABOUT I REQUESTED A CHECK UP I WAS GIVEN NOTHING NO ADVICE OR SHOW OF CONCERN NO BED SIDE MANNER AT ALL I WAS LEFT WOTH ONLY QUESTIONS NO ANSWERS I ALSO GOT MAYBE ASTHMATIC CONDITION IN THE END NO WEIGHT TAKEN NO NAIL PIT FLEA MEDICINE ON FUR TOLD ME HIS LUNGS LOOKED FINE NAIL TRIM TOLD ME HIS EARS WERE VERY DIRTY NO CLEANING NO SEDATION APPARENTLY BECAUSE POSSIBLE ENLARGED HEART SFHOWED ME NO X-RAY NO INFORMATION OR SOLUTION I WALKED OUT TO THERE WITH A 566.00 BILL MO ANSWERS FELT COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF WANT EVERY ONE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED 😡

Dr. Allison was great. The receptionist that took my money and told me the toral explained to me to "read the sign" while eating half a pancaks her hands when I protested an added fee on the credit card reader. I then read the small sign and it said 3% charge for credit, 0 for debit. I was using a debit card and it was a $100 charge. When I told her this, she got up and went in another room to get her manager. The manager told me that the 3% charge was just a new policy starting today and the charge wouldn't reach my bank account. I was paying $2800. Do you think a receptionist should be eating and just telling you "it's on the sign" for a new policy they had just implemented? Talk about attitude city. Night and day from Dr. Allison. I would not have someone with that much anger towards patients at rhe helm of my establishment.
