I had Brian as my ACT tutor and he was incredible! Every session I had with him was very helpful because he taught me where I went wrong and all of the test tricks to do well on the test. I ended up getting a 35 on my first official test which was thanks to all of the test skills and knowledge that Brian taught me.

Review from Google · view on GoogleInitially drawn in by positive reviews, my skepticism grew after four pricey $800.00 sessions with Brian, each lasting 2 hours. -Despite the cost, Brian rushed through questions, ignoring my daughter’s specific concerns, even when she requested clarification twice during the session. I called Brian to ask him to go over a certain area she was having trouble with . I over heard the zoom and he ignored my request, just drilling questions and answers. -Despite confirming our home address over Zoom, the promised SAT study books (over zoom)were never sent, and Brian offered an excuse about taking care of a baby. When I inquired about the tracking number via email he denied ever intending to send the book. -Compounding my dissatisfaction was Brian’s pushy nature. Despite my daughter agreeing to bi-weekly sessions, he persistently insisted on weekly Zoom sessions and proposed a costly 3-hour session at $1000.00. -Aware of my daughter’s upcoming school trip to Costa Rica( conservation lab) he was to prepare her work that she could do on down time . We explained to him possibly no Wi-Fi so she needs to print before leaving. despite prior notice, Brian sent the materials only on the day she arrived in Costa Rica . Upon her return I sent an email to confirm next session. I was also on my way back to NY he bombarded me with texts and emails during my vacation, pressuring for payment despite my unavailability. And when he already agreed to take my new cc befor my daughters class. When I answered his ridiculous rude emails every other one has an apology. He doesn’t read his emails either. What a mistake and waste of money this was . Unimpressed My daughter’s score improved underscoring the importance of pivoting and choosing a new tutor who prioritize listening over showcasing a game.

Dear Nicole, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take negative feedback very seriously and have been reviewing all prior correspondence to ascertain why we didn’t meet your expectations. We apologize for the challenges you faced during your sessions, especially because you came to us after dissatisfaction with two other test prep companies, and we pledged to get your daughter back on track. However, we are very glad to hear you finally found a good match; your daughter’s success is ultimately most important. Brian tried calling you to address your concerns, but he was unable to reach you. To briefly address the issues you raised: We apologize if you felt pressured by the suggestion to add lessons. We provide our clients with all available options in order to help them achieve success. Given your ambitious goal of improving 400 points in a short period of time, Brian felt additional lessons would be beneficial. We are surprised to learn you were discontented because your emailed response was: “I think that is a great idea. I’m so happy to hear only good things about the recent session. [My daughter] is impressed how prepared, quick thinking and professional you are. Thank you for bridging a connection with her.” However, we are sorry if the suggestion made you uncomfortable as that was certainly not our intent. We regret that you felt Brian was not responsive to emails; our tutors are required (with management oversight) to reply to all client communications in a timely manner. However, our records indicate Brian responded to each of your emails and texts within a few hours. If there are any that we missed, please let us know so we can immediately address any shortcomings in our process. We have never paid for fake reviews. In fact, many of our reviewers make themselves available as references for potential clients to speak with; their authenticity is further underscored by awards we’ve received from independent consumer ratings agencies which are proudly displayed on our web site. Thank you again for your candor. We will take all of your feedback into consideration as we continuously look to improve our services.
