I want to thank Dr.Amy Leadmon and her staff for there support.I had to make the decision of putting down my 16 Year old son Felix my cat.They were caring and compassionate maybe not used to a 66 year old man in tears I will miss my baby.Thank you you have all my business in the future going to bring you Fritz shortly.
My dog needed a nail trim. They got her in the same day. The staff was very friendly.

I had a very unfortunate puppy emergency of poisoning due to ingestion of a chemical while I was away from home. I drove through red lights knowing every min counted and carried my suffering pup through doors no-one would hold open. At least they let me where to go 20 min away to get help. More time lost for pup who did not make it had they just been able to have activated charcoal or some real vet hospital practice than just likely vaccination that costs a lot and shills for money only, oh and they likely ignore the dog fighting that happens in elkview. Never going here again and I keep reporting the nightly dog fights soulless have around here that people look away from. Tragic.
The are fantastic. At some point we have met all the doctors I believe and they all have been wonderful. We love how they treat our fur babies. Prices for services and meds are very reasonable. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. We wouldn't want to take our pets anywhere else.

We came in bc my dog was sick, not eating, and had swollen lymph nodes, we thought he had Lyme disease. The staff is so sweet and helpful. Dr. Leadmon is extremely knowledgeable and has a straight forward approach (which i respect), she shared her concerns that he may have lymphoma and recommended blood tests. We did the tests and he did in fact have Lyme and Anaplasmosis, which they explained. The staff also discussed budget and pricing with me, even tho it is an uncomfortable topic, i appreciated the transparency and understanding. We had to wait for the results of the lymphoma blood test and was sent home with meds to start addressing the the Lyme. I called a few times throughout the week for advice about helping get the meds in him bc he wasn't eating and they always answered and called back when they said they would. When we got the results of the blood tests, he did infact have lymphoma. Dr. Leadmon was very supportive when discussing treatment options, she answered all my questions and shared her concerns and recommendations. She told me they would keep refilling his meds as long as we needed, bc we ultimately chose palative care. Dr. Leadmon gave me a 4- 6 prognosis and was unfortunately correct. After Shadow passed we were there for our other dogs check up and was met with sympathy and support. I will continue to go here bc the staff is most kind and helpful and I trust Dr.Leadmons skills, Thank you all.

Brand New to Charleston. Emergency visit in which we unfortunately lost our precious dog, Scout to no fault of theirs. He passed before we even arrived. They not only did not charge us for the visit but also arranged the cremation and sent us a sympathy card with all staff signatures. During an extremely tough time, Elk Valley Vet treated us and Scout with kindness and empathy. We have found our Charleston vet!!
