5 stars for Betty who always makes my hair look great. Thankful for her as a post partum mom with little time for self care. She is wonderful with my “lived-in blonde” - but is also fantastic with vivids!
0 stars for Darcy, the receptionist, who was rude to me because I had my baby with me (because he was babbling in my lap) and told my friend’s daughter to “be quiet” for talking at a normal volume to her mother.
I've been looking for a good salon for a long time. I saw the name and knew it was for me. Everyone is so friendly. My stylist Brian has me for life cut my hair exactly as we discussed going back for color next week.
I just went to Clare to have a cut and color with highlights. She was incredible, I'm happier with my color than I've ever been! I gave her some direction, and let her have a little room to make decisions and I couldn't be happier! I've found my new stylist!
I had Clare do a deva cut and she was wonderful! She was patient, took the time to go over products, how to apply them, and how to help improve my curls. My hair finally feels balanced, extra healthy, and super cute.
Hanna is the best and really knows what she's doing when it comes to my curls!! I always love my hair when I leave.
Not only that, but at my last visit she pointed out to me that my hair was coming in a different texture than usual and asked if I had been through any hormonal changes, which prompted me to visit my doctor. Found out that I have vitamin D deficiency as well as another health issue we're looking into. I would've never connected the dots if she hadn't been paying attention and said something!
How can you live in Johnson County and not try a hair salon voted "BEST IN JOHNSON COUNTY"?!? So I did, and the hype is well-deserved.
Elysian is in an unassuming shopping strip in Lenexa which I've driven by hundreds of times. I called at 9a for an appointment and got in that afternoon. Hannah asked what I envisioned, and with her guidance she meticulously made my crappy hair look like I was ready for a walk on the red carpet. Couldn't have been more pleased and the price was surprisingly modest (about 50% less than what Scissors & Scotch AND higher quality).
Needless to say, THIS is my new salon and Hannah earned my trust on the first try! Highly recommend!
