Google reviewers rate Embarcadero Automotive five stars based on one hundred reviews, with the owner responding to only five percent of comments. Customers frequently describe the shop as punctual, professional, and communicative, noting that staff explain repairs clearly and provide fair pricing that is often significantly lower than dealership estimates. Services range from routine maintenance to complex European vehicle diagnostics, and many clients mention receiving a complimentary car wash. The primary criticism found in the limited low-star feedback is that prices can feel high, though this is attributed to the shop's specialized expertise in specific car brands.

My husband and I have had several of our cars worked on at this shop. We've brought them everything from small repair jobs to huge issues. They've taken the absolute best care of our cars and we trust their opinion and work.
This place is the best! I've been going to them for years and would recommend them without hesitation. Ali is super knowledgeable and is able to tell you the problem in ways a non-mechanic can understand. Hasan is honest, has never tried to sell me on something I don't need and even has encouraged me to wait (tires) on occasion. Their work is fast and more importantly they stand behind it. You won't be disappointed taking your car to them.
My car stopped on Polk Street this morning and Ali asked if I needed help. Without hesitating he took care to protect my car and resolve the issue. Turns out he is the owner and we should all be so lucky to have this level of service...planned or unplanned.
Excellent service
Highly recommend for Mercedes.. Great job for less than half the dealer..
Hasan is the best - I’ve taken my car to him since I moved to SF. He’s honest and gets the job done right!
Updated 2/8/24: Ali, Hassan and the crew at Embarcadero Automotive have been servicing and repairing my Mini Cooper S for several years and they do an excellent job. Great service, super professional, always happy to help and very reasonably priced. They’ll fix anything - big or small, complex or routine including the first thing they helped me with: an unusual but critical multifunctioning ODB port that nobody else could fix. Ali also makes an awesome cappuccino while you wait. I highly recommend them. Next time you have an issue with you car, give them a call and ask them for their thoughts and a quote; I bet you’ll be pleasantly surprised. ------------ Great service and at a reasonable cost. Fixed a tricky problem with the ODB port of my car and several other repairs. Ali and his team were very professional and did a great job. Highly recommend them.
I have a Maserati granturismo sport, I took it to the Maserati dealer in Walnut Creek and was very expensive, But when I went to Embarcadero Automotive they really made my day, Ali the owner knows everything about Italian automotive and I am glad to have meat him my car is running beautifully and save it thousands of dollars, will recommend him 100% Carlo Salvatore
Such a great place. Hassan and Ali are very fair and always go above and beyond. I’d highly recommend them.
