I went to this Salon on Friday May 29th. I got a highlight for my birthday with the stylist, Maggie. Maggie did a wonderful job. I had a wonderful experience and it made my birthday even greater. Also, I was present in this salon for the bang trim comment below. I witnessed the altercation first hand and can verify that the woman paid with a $20 bill and her review is a blatant lie.

I was robbed here. I went in for a quick bang trim. Gave the woman a $50 bill. I'm positive it was a $50 bill as it was the only bill I had in my travel purse - my husband had just given it to me when I left the hotel room for the errand. The stylist would only give me a $5 bill in return. I IMMEDIATELY told her it was a $50 bill, but she said it was a $20 and naturally I couldn't prove otherwise. Right after I handed it to her, I walked from the counter to look at some hair products on a shelf. I confirmed when I returned back to hotel with my husband (and he had returned from an event) that it was in fact a $50 bill. We had to go and meet friends and so there was no time to return to the salon. I did call and leave a message - as I am sure their drawer would be off by $35 when counted (if they do) at the end of the day. Beware, if you are from out of town, you will be taken advantage of and robbed here.

Cathy, you sent a text to the salon about this situation saying you were prepared to leave a bad review if we didn't contact you, and we responded back saying the owner would contact you. You left this review almost immediately after texting us and before you ever spoke with me. When you told the stylist you gave her a $50, she said it was a $20 and showed you the drawer. Then you responded with, "I wonder if I gave it to the dog walker/sitter?" As soon as I was made aware of the issue, I told another employee to count the drawer immediately. She did not have a $50 in the drawer and it was exactly $15 over our petty cash, which was the cost of your bang trim. The stylist that you accused of stealing your $35 in change has been with my Salon Company for 14.5 years and I trust her 100%. We have never, in almost 15 years of being open, been accused of taking money from a client. My Salon Company along with the stylists I hire, have a strong ethical background and we would never risk our reputation for an extra $35 in our pocket. I'm sorry you feel like you were robbed. As you said in our conversation on Sunday, we will have to agree to disagree. -Amy, Owner

I absolutely love this little gem of a place. I scheduled a makeup lesson with Maggie, and she did such an amazing job teaching what works for me. She paid great attention to detail and provided helpful tips when applying. After only one lesson I feel confident that I can do my own makeup for engagement photos now!
