Google reviewers rate Excel Plumbing Supply & Showroom 4.6 out of 5 based on 125 reviews, with the owner responding to 49 percent of comments. Customers frequently praise the wide selection of bathroom fixtures, competitive pricing, and the knowledgeable, responsive staff who assist with remodels and maintenance orders. However, some lower-rated feedback highlights inconsistent communication regarding prices, warranty terms, and stock availability, noting that the ordering process for repair parts can be convoluted and that initial quotes sometimes differ from final costs.

We called and got a quote for 600. Person at front desk said its 750 and wasted our time. Rip off supplier, we went to another store and bought it for 640
Thanks for letting us know, Rob.
Love Jennifer.
Thank you!
We visited 5 plumbing supply showrooms to purchase fixtures for our bathroom remodel. Jennifer stood head and shoulders above the rest. • She listened carefully to our vision and goals. She sat back for a full 10 minutes and gave it serious thought before she made recommendations that were spot on in terms of style, function, and budget • Jennifer was highly collaborative, courteous, and humorous, stayed calm at all times, and was very reassuring. She’s honest but diplomatic if you’ve made a selection she thinks you won’t be happy with. • Jennifer was knowledgeable about her own inventory as well as products they don’t even carry so she could compare them for you • When asked, she was quite honest about the quality of each fixture (frequency of problems and number of returns), and the integrity of the manufacturer (do they stand behind their products). This is information you can’t get doing an internet search • Jennifer’s estimates of delivery dates were 100% accurate. Some items even came in early. • Jennifer clearly identified which fixtures were returnable without a restocking fee (standard in-stock items) and which were not returnable (custom orders) • Excel Plumbing is open on Saturdays. Many plumbing supply houses are not • The average discount over the entire order was substantial for the fixtures we bought, and was better than that offered by any other showroom In addition to all of that, Jennifer understands the emotional toll from renovations and reduces concerns where she can: • Your home is in chaos and daily routines are disrupted (she can’t help you there) • The wide selection of brands can be daunting (she helps you cut through the clutter of information, and whittle down the options) • You are concerned about making costly mistakes (she helps you make choices with confidence and can also point you towards products that can be returned without penalty) • You might feel urgency to get the renovation done before holiday guests arrive (she can tell you which items are in stock and if not in stock, which manufacturers’ estimated delivery dates are reliable) • Your contractor may be pressing you towards products you don’t want or like (she can help you identify alternative products you do like) Jennifer has our highest recommendation.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and recommendation. We’re thrilled to hear Jennifer provided such an exceptional experience during your bathroom remodel journey. Her knowledge, honesty, patience, and attention to detail are exactly what we strive for at Excel Plumbing Supply & Showroom. We truly appreciate your trust in our team and hope you enjoy your beautiful new space for years to come!

Thank you for sharing a review of your experience with Excel Plumbing Supply & Showroom.
Not a very welcoming showroom. They also make it a convoluted process just to order repair/maintenance parts. Nobody even tells you the price until they ask for payment. Then they tell you it's not in stock, but will arrive in 2 weeks.
Thank you for the feedback, Tom. We aim to have a 1:1 customer experience when you enter our showroom -- meaning we want to sure that you work directly with a showroom consultant when you enter. We are continuously refining our processes to improve our customer experience. There are thousands of faucet and fixtures SKUs available to the public. While we have some repair/maintenance parts available -- we will not have all of them. Once we've identify the repair part, we will most definitely share the price and lead time with you. We will pass the feedback along to our staff to improve this process moving forward. Thank you, again.
Richard Cai has consistently exceeded expectations. All orders ready at the door for pick-up; orders unpacked and examined to make sure no damage; issues that were beyond everyone's control were handled expeditiously and fairly. I highly recommend Excel Plumbing and Richard Cai. And, the prices were lower than anywhere else I checked. I will recommend Richard Cai to anyone looking for plumbing materials - even if you have to drive an hour. It has been totally worth it.
Thank you, Kira! We're glad you had great experience with Richard and Excel Plumbing! We want to make sure our clients have the best experience with product knowledge, service, and definitely getting your material to you in solid condition. We will definitely pass the message along over to Richard.
Big fan of Alex, so knowledgeable and helpful.
We will definitely let Alex know! Thanks!
Alex is the absolute best!
Thank you, Noam! We will let Alex know!
So far I've worked only with Sammi and she's been responsive and knowledgeable about everything we asked. If you're looking for something like hansgrohe it's well represented in the showroom.
Thank you for your feedback
We would like to compliment Richard Cai of Exel Plumbing in San Francisco for working with us for over a year to place various orders for our project's plumbing supplies. He has been working at Exel for a long time and he knows his stuff well. Richard is very honest. He follows through, is knowledgeable in his area, and gets back to you promptly. In our experience, he was not bothered by our numerous inquiries and always provided satisfactory answers. He made it easy for us to go through a large order and also gave us advice on where not to waste money. We highly recommend working with Richard for our plumbing needs.
Thanks for the kind words. We will be sure to let Richard know.
