Expressions Music Academy

This organization is host to a FABULOUS choral group called the EMA Singers. We have heard them perform twice and look forward to hearing them again and again. Co-leader Ben Henri is super talented (and a past Jeopardy champion).

I wish I could base this review on experience of the lessons. Unfortunately, first lesson we came with my daughter and waited to find out the teacher erroneously went to the Canton location. No big deal, life happens, so we rescheduled for the following week. They canceled a few hours before class again, citing a family emergency and rescheduled for the following week. The third time we were supposed to attend our first lesson, they canceled a few hours before once again citing conflicts and offered a fourth reschedule which I of course declined. Hopefully others have better luck but for busy parents who are trying to keep a schedule, I would highly recommend looking somewhere more reliable.

I love Expressions Music Academy! I've met a lot of great teachers, and the model they use is very open and flexible. You can really go in any direction you want, and it's perfect for aspiring artists.

My son has gained a ton of confidence and knowledge in his singing style. He is writing music and it's nice that he can consult with his teacher.

Sarah(Piano instructor) and Angela(violin instructor)are wonderful teachers at EMA. They are patient, kind, and professional. They instruct their lessons based on the kids' level of music understanding and provide lots of positive feedback. My kids enjoyed learning from them.

Expressions has been fantastic for my child. His instructor Travis could not be better. The drum lessons are a highlight of the week every week and met with great anticipation and excitement. Expressions music academy is a fantastic space to learn.

My son was enrolled in musical expressions for a year and he absolutely loved it. Their Animal Adventures program allowed him to explore multiple instruments while learning the foundation of reading music. The program even includes recitals twice a year where they let the students pick what they want to perform. This was a wonderful experience and we would recommend this program to others.

Our son started piano last summer at Expressions Music Academy and it's been a wonderful experience! It's helped him with so many skills: patience, how to express emotion through music, listening closely, building hand eye coordination, and most important how to keep practicing when things get hard. The first day with his new songs he has to really think about it and practice and then by the end of the week he's perfected it! It's taught him to keep trying and be persistent. We play a lot of sports but piano is my favorite activity. Our teacher, Mr George, is absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable and patient with our son. Music Expressions and our teacher provide everything we need to be successful!

We are grateful for Expression Music and especially for Joshua Benitez who has been exceptional with our neurodivergent four-year-old son. He has been patient, understanding, and supportive from the very beginning. When our son began classes a few months ago, he was speaking only a few words and was diagnosed with autism shortly afterward. Since joining the program, he has grown tremendously in both his love for music and his confidence. He looks forward to class each week with Joshua and enjoys singing as well as playing drums and piano at home. Thank you, Joshua, for creating such a positive and encouraging environment where our son feels supported and can truly enjoy making music. We sincerely appreciate all that you do.

I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed my lessons. My teacher is amazing, and I've seen great improvement since I started.
