Google reviewers rate Extra Space Storage 4.9 out of 5 based on 1156 reviews, with the owner replying to 80% of comments. Positive feedback highlights friendly, knowledgeable staff who assist customers in selecting appropriate unit sizes and navigating the leasing process efficiently. However, a recurring criticism among lower-rated reviewers involves significant monthly rate increases and a lack of prior notification, which some describe as misleading or bait-and-switch tactics despite initial agreements.
