F45 East Lansing is the best gym/studio I’ve been part of. The atmosphere is contagious and energizing and workouts are fun. There are always very nice coaches around making sure everything runs smoothly and everyone is safe. It’s a scheduled group class, so it is important to show up on time to see the demo and participate in the warm up! Team training!

I recently had a disappointing experience at F45 Lansing. Due to a snow-related delay, I arrived 10 minutes late. Even though I’d done the exact workout the day before and understood it well, I was denied participation. Let me start by saying I am not athletic by nature and have to really force myself to stay active. I also don't love the super hype-you-up rah rah and yell-at-you type classes (like OTF and some CrossFit gyms I've seen). And F45 does try to pump you up but not by yelling at you throughout your workout. They show you the moves, turn the music up, and let you do your thing while the coaches rotate through the room to subtly correct form and offer suggestions. I feel enough pressure to push myself but also feel the freedom to adjust or pause as needed. The coaches are very helpful and encouraging, but not pushy. There is community there for those who want it and space for those that just want to come in, get their workouts in and go. They hold special challenges and extra options for training and competing in Hyrox but these are purely optional and I've never felt pressured to partake. They are also very inclusive, making members of a variety of ages and athletic levels feel welcome and supported. While it can be intimidating at first to see how the experienced members know how to go through the changing rotations and different exercises, everyone is very helpful and reassuring to newbies. TVs around the room display the workouts in case you forget what you are doing, as well, which is very helpful for checking form.
I've come to really rely on the structure and gentle peer pressure from the F45 classes. If I did it alone, I would give up much earlier and not push myself as hard. And dare I say, there are times when it's almost enjoyable or satisfying (as much as I can find working out enjoyable, lol). I know I feel better in the long run when I am going regularly. It's not cheap and I dread the possibility of not being able to afford it at some times, but it is worth it.
Thank you to the F45 coaches and community for welcoming and encouraging a begrudging and often grumpy (from work) non-athlete.

I recently had a disappointing experience at F45 Lansing. Due to a snow-related delay, I arrived 10 minutes late. Even though I’d done the exact workout the day before and understood it well, I was denied participation. I was spoken to harshly and asked to leave in a very dismissive way, leaving me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I left stressed and humiliated. I hope management can show more empathy in the future, as fitness spaces should treat clients with respect, even when enforcing policies.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you left frustrated.
At F45 East Lansing, our goal is to create a supportive, high-energy training environment while prioritizing safety and consistency for every member in the room. For that reason, our coaches are required to close classes once the demo and warm-up are completed, regardless of prior experience with the workout.
Our team always aims to enforce policies with respect, and it’s never our intention to make anyone feel unwelcome. We truly value our community and are always open to having constructive conversations. If you’d like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

If you're looking to transform your fitness, this is where I would suggest going. The coaches are amazing, kind, encouraging. They lead with quiet confidence and gentle accountability. They feel like old friends as soon as you enter. And the work outs will kick your butt. So, don't sit and wait and wish for something to change. If you need a sign, this is it. Get to this gym asap. You won't regret it.

Decided to try out since a coworker goes to this studio/gym. I came for welcome week and it was great. The atmosphere and sense of team keeps you motivated to do better each time.
I have had a couple different trainers/instructors and all are friendly and provide hands on corrections
