This is a simple but heartfelt note to thank First Impression Ironworks for the excellent and diligent work performed while building and installing custom iron doors on our home. Being new to our community, we conducted a few Google searches and came across reviews highlighting the company’s quality products and services. We are now glad to add our own praises. Our heartfelt thanks go to Eric, the design sales consultant and Mark, who installed the doors. Both were friendly, courteous, informative and truly professional. We had a security screen installed on my mom's front door recently. The whole process was surprisingly easy and fast - from the consultation (which includes samples of the screens and frames) to the quote (Mike answered all my questions on the small print), to the installation, which happened within 2 weeks and took less than an hour. It looks beautiful and my mom is very happy to have ventilation and security and to be able to see through the door as if it's not there!

I am disappointed with my experience with First Impression Iron Works. During installation of my security door, the installer used an improperly sized bracket that damaged the vinyl cladding on my existing door. A second door installed the same day did not experience this issue, demonstrating that the damage was not unavoidable. The damage compromised the door's protective vinyl surface, which serves as a moisture barrier, yet the company characterized the repair as merely cosmetic. I spent $4832 and despite obtaining a professional repair quote 0f only $325 and making numerous attempts to resolve the matter cooperatively, the company declined responsibility and offered compensation that does not cover the cost of a proper repair. I expected a company with their reputation to stand behind the quality of their workmanship and take reasonable steps to restore my property to its pre-installation condition.

This process was discussed prior to installation, approved and is a standard process. I've already contacted your customer team and have not received a reply. This is false. You did not communicate the altercation of my pavers without reinstallation. You cleverly omitted the fact that you'd leave the pavers on the side of the yard and the project unfinished. 1. Your contract does not outline a project work plan or include any indication that you would alter my pavers. It simply states the company won't assume liability for damages during the project. This is not damages - this is your undisclosed project plan to alter my pavers without reinstallation. 2. You did not communicate through any medium that you would be altering my pavers WITHOUT reinstallation. 3. I called customer support during the installation and spoke to Susan from operations who ensured me you would send someone out to correct the pavers given the unacceptable state they'd been left in. This is the only reason I signed off on the installation. 4. This is fraudulent business practice to obtain authorization under false pre-tenses. ----------------------------------------------- Original text: Incredibly disappointed with my experience. First Impression ripped out my pavers to install the gate with no plan to reinstall. The excuse given was "we don't do masonry" - then HIRE someone to do it. They originally agreed to send someone out to fix the pavers, and then reneged on that. That alone should tell you that it's obviously not an acceptable state to leave an installation. How can you think this is an acceptable state to leave a $3000 installation? I am reporting this company to the BBB and would give 0 stars if possible.

From start to finish this was a class act! We definitely have the best looking front door in the neighborhood!!

Our first door came from First Impression about 15 years ago. We were always happy and never had any problems. We recently noticed some issues with the door and First Impression was very helpful and accommodating. They were able to provide an appropriate discount for the issue and produce an exact replica with the improvements we were concerned about. The installer (Junior) did a fantastic job and was totally professional with an amazing attitude. They also provided a full set of care instructions for our door to help insure we don't have the same problems in the future (a great added extra). First Impression followed up in less than 24 hours to make sure the experience met our expectations.

We had a great experience with First Impression Ironworks! The staff in the showroom were very friendly and helpful. It turned out to be the same guy to come out and measure the door for install. Great guy! The install itself only took about an hour! The install guy was great too! The door itself is the highest of quality. We got one with screen and window. We are leaving the window closed since it is hot right now and We have construction across the street and we can’t even hear them because the seal is so great! Highly recommend. So worth the money!
