Great experience! Kim, the stylist, recommended by a friend who has been a client of his for 30 years. Took the time to find the right color for a root touchup and taught me how to blow dry my hair for styling following the shampoo and hair cut.

Salon is a beautiful, fun, queer friendly place! Topher took a mess of hair and made it look fresh again! I appreciated the way he spent time explaining the dos and don’ts. Fabulous experience. Can’t wait for my next appointment!
Abby continues to do a great job doing my brows and lip wax. I would trust her with any needed service and am extremely satisfied. Best esthetician I have been to! Support staff are also great and salon is pleasant and stylish!

(WAXING, STYLIST: ABBY)
Abby was the first to see us into the back of the facility, in which they have a private nook with a door so as to perform various styles of waxing without any forms of privacy violations. Abby took their time with us, was very conversational and warm, willing to listen to us babble and we loved how absolutely PAINLESS the process was with them.
Outside of a very minor twinge here and there, they rapidly performed wax work on our eyebrows using much different wax and technique than that of the bigger chain locations, meaning that the usual redness and irritation was effectively nonexistent.
Abby made us feel super welcome and we will 100% be returning for her services at a future time.

(HAIR, STYLIST: KIM)
We went in with hair that has, according to KIM, a lot of us doing things right, but has been without a cut or touch for nearly 2 years. With some selective tips for our hair type and desires, it came out looking absolutely WILD with curls.
Before performing a wash-down, Kim did a layering method on a "dry cut" to take the weight out of the curls and get rid of any splits or damage with minimal loss of length to the hair to properly shape it.
It needed a good detox treatment (stripping of sediment from chemicals and various exposures) and suddenly the shine and softness was back to its best luster in a long time!
After the detox treatment, conditioner and product were applied to our absolutely dripping wet hair, and while it was, Kim advised us to do a series of things we'd been doing already but in a different pattern, with some minor alterations to application and processes.
Post-wash, there came some more shaping and cutting, very little was needed just to get things to bounce a bit more. Then a blow-drying process that flipped the script on our usual routine that ended up making our hair glow and bounce in ways it hasn't in YEARS.
Kim is very kind and considerate, listened to our methods and research, pointed us in a few other directions and shifted some methods timing, giving us a more bespoke treatment with our hair than we've had with *any* other stylist in our 20+ years getting our hair done.
There was no upsell, no demands to use a specific product, just showing what their products do, sending us home with some free samples, and no forced expectations.
We don't normally do reviews, more often because places that perform the bare minimum expect to be showered in praise for doing what is expected in their line of work, this place is absolutely on a very short list of places that goes above and beyond to make sure their clients are satisfied, comfortable, and supported in their goals.
We are already scheduled for seeing both Abby and Kim again in short order, and this is our new permanent salon.

Everyone is so friendly and personable. I personally have had my haircut by Tommie and recently Alicia. Both do amazing jobs! My 13 year old recently had his hair cut by Kit. He liked the cut and Kit's personality. He very much enjoyed his first salon/ spa experience with Focus!
