A great experience with friendly, knowledgeable providers and staff.
This clinic changed our lives. My son’s food allergies were completely gone after completing their program. Its worth the cost. Highly recommend.
The TIP program is an incredible source of hope combatting my daughter’s (4yr old) food allergies.
We love the food allergy institute! It’s the biggest blessing! 🩵

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We are currently in active treatment at the Food Allergy Institute in Long Beach, and I cannot say enough about this place. After years of managing severe, complex food allergies and feeling like we were just surviving rather than moving forward, FAI has completely changed our family's trajectory.

From the very first visit, the level of expertise here is unlike anything we have experienced in years of navigating the allergy world. The team doesn't just treat — they educate, they explain, and they make you feel like a true partner in your child's care. Dr. Priyanka Vakati set the tone from day one with a thorough, thoughtful launch visit that left us feeling informed rather than overwhelmed. Every question we asked — and we asked a lot — was met with patience, depth, and genuine engagement. Not once did we feel dismissed or rushed.

Nancy Pham, NP walked us through our post-launch visits with calm professionalism and warmth, and Grace Song, NP has continued that same level of care as we move deeper into treatment. The consistency across providers is remarkable — you never feel like you're starting over or re-explaining your child's history.

Our son was understandably nervous coming into this. Facing your allergens head-on is no small thing for a child. But the staff here have a quiet gift for making kids feel safe. He went from hesitant to genuinely at ease, and that matters more than I can articulate. When a child who has lived with fear around food starts to feel hopeful, you know you're in the right hands.

The care coordination, the communication, the clinical rigor, the humanity — it's all here, and it all works together. We are so grateful for this team and everything they are doing for our son. If you are on the fence about whether to pursue TIP, come here. You will not regret it.

Facing allergens head-on is a huge step for a child, and we are so proud of your son for his bravery—and so happy that our clinic staff helped him feel safe and genuinely at ease! We are about halfway through our treatment (2.5 years down, 2.5 years to go!) and we're feeling so thankful this was an option for us. We saw two traditional allergists and both said OIT wasn't an option due to multiple allergies and were having us avoid things he had never eaten that were only showing up on skin prick tests instead of testing orally that it was truly an allergy. When we started at FAI we felt like we finally got a super clear picture of which foods were actual allergies vs sensitivities and a plan to work through them all! In our first two years we accomplished working through ALL nuts, including anaphylactic ones, and my son can now eat them all (and he does daily!) We're well on our way to working through Milk and Egg and I appreciate the slow but steady methodical approach. We haven't had any big reactions to dosing, and every step we're closer to safety. Yes it is expensive and time consuming. But allergy life in general is expensive and time consuming. Not having to buy special expensive allergy friendly food for the rest of my son's life will make up for the cost of the program I think!

We've had great experiences with the staff, always very friendly and listen to our concerns. The facility is always clean and they make it fun for kids with decorations and themes, etc. We have always experienced quick but thoughtful replies to our emails, etc... We really don't have complaints.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your family’s halfway milestone with us! 💙 Hearing that your son has already cleared ALL nuts (including anaphylactic ones) and is now eating them daily is such an incredible victory! 🎉 Going from constant avoidance to daily consumption is a huge accomplishment, and we are cheering him on as he works through milk and egg with that slow, steady, and methodical approach. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our FAI community! Moments like this inspire so many families starting their own path toward true Food Freedom®.
