I adopted my baby boy September 10th, the same day he started showing signs of kennel cough. The lady that keeps with adoption said that the voucher you get for a vet visit wouldn’t cover a sudden cough, so I think they knew. My other two dogs was then exposed to kennel cough, and all three were sick, my other two are just now starting to get better after rounds of antibiotics. His name was golden delicious while there, his name is now Maverick. I gave 4 stars because Maverick has brought so much joy into my life. He was tossed out like trash and was starving with no mom to feed on, and is now very, very spoiled and loved! ❤️

Reviewers frequently highlight the helpful staff, clean facilities, and reasonable adoption fees, noting successful adoptions and a well-stocked retail store. However, recurring criticisms involve inaccurate website information regarding operating hours and availability, which led to disappointed visits. Additional complaints include concerns about animal health testing before adoption and disputes over parking access that frustrated some community members.

I attended the Humane Society sponsored Wine and Design event, it was SO much fun! Loved that I was supporting such a great organization and made a lovely painting of my fur baby! Also I had no idea they had an amazing pet store inside! So many toys to choose from, I will definitely be stopping here for pet supplies more often.

If I could give them a zero i would. Not a very truthful when it comes to certain things definitely follow up on your babies when you Surrender them. Also its crazy to me cats are not being tested for FIV or felv before adoption.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Rescue That Truly Cares! We have adopted two dogs and three cats through the Forsyth Humane Society, and our experience with them has been nothing short of wonderful. You can immediately tell how deeply invested the entire staff and team are in the animals they care for. They don't just find homes for pets—they build lasting relationships with adopters! We love going back a few times a year to donate and visit, and the staff always remember our babies. It means the world to be part of such a compassionate community. We couldn't recommend them more highly!
My best friend lost her dog to cancer in the spring. In his honor, I purchased a memorial paver. Darla went above and beyond to inform me of the installation and sent me a photo of the paver, so we could locate it easily during our visit. She was incredibly helpful, and we are beyond thankful for her kindness and compassion. Thank you, Darla.
I don’t know what this world. You would think a place that profits off of people surrendering their animals would be more open to taking them in instead of telling you that you have to go on a waiting lists
I would recommend this place, they helped us Adopt our cat Beso and they were so helpful!
Awesome staff.
I felt like my dog Zuzu needed better. After having a baby and dealing with postpartum I found myself not having enough time or energy to spend with Zuzu. He’s a great dog and needed a family that could love and appreciate him. So after a long consideration I surrendered my baby hoping he would find a loving family. My boy was quickly adopted. The process was so smooth. I was a little scared of judgement but the environment was friendly and inviting. Thank you sooo much for finding Zuzu a forever home!
