Contacted this law firm looking for help. Emailed back and forth. Didn't receive a response for a while and when I did- was sent a link for an hour consult for $450 an hour. No explanation of what I would get. As a single mom to throw $450 and not even sure what I would get isn't something I can do. Didn't offer any more assistance beyond that. If you're looking for help with DV or a similar situation and you are struggling financially, may have to look elsewhere.

My attorney, Sasha Khan, had switched firms in the middle of another contempt case I had initiated. I followed Sasha to Foundations Family Law and Mediation and was happy with the result. Sasha continues to be a great attorney and advocate for caring parents; my working relationship started when she won a trial judgement for me to have primary custody of my daughter and since then she has successfully obtained orders and judgements of contempt. I like the small personalized feel of this new firm and if you are going through something and you need support, this is a great place. Also ask about their partners to help with the emotional side of your case; your attorney can be an expensive therapist otherwise.

Everyone at Foundations (especially Ashley) made the process of divorce, which I knew nothing about, as smooth and seamless as it possibly could have been. They took the time to understand me and my family and for that I am extremely grateful. Ashley handles the court process with precision and is kind and courteous to everyone around her, which is something I hold in high regard, especially in situations like court where personality abounds. I have been working with both Jolee and Lisa for the past year and a half while going through my divorce with my high conflict ex. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a lawyer that actually will fight for you in court. This law firm is absolutely terrible. They haven’t even returned the rest of my retainer which is like $200 pretty sad again you’ve been warned.
