I moved back to the area in March and established care with Gallatin Veterinary Hospital for my husky mix, Oakley, and I have had nothing but an absolutely amazing experience since the get-go.
We actually just picked our girl up from surgery today, and I’ve never felt so comfortable leaving my dog in someone else’s care. From the communication leading up to her surgery, to the care she received while she was there, to the updates from the staff, I truly cannot say enough good things about them. They treated and spoke to me as if she was their own, and that means more to me as a pet owner than I can put into words.
I’m so thankful we found Gallatin Veterinary Hospital and have complete trust in their team. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary hospital that truly cares about their patients and the families attached to them. Thank you all so much for taking such amazing care of our girl! ❤️🐾

Unfortunately, I am changing my 5 star review from last year(below) to 1 star. The doctors at GVH are wonderful. The office manager is not. Minutes after leaving with a standard prophylactic worm medication, I discovered online that it is available at Costco for $100 less than I had just paid at GVH. I called to ask if I could return it, and would have done so minutes later, but the office manager said once I walked out the door, she could not take it back. This is uncaring and unreasonable. It is obvious that the package was not tampered with (box is sealed and tablets are also sealed inside), and I was not in its possession for more than about 20 minutes. I knew I could get the med cheaper online, but I bought it at the clinic to support the clinic, thinking I would be paying about $20 more, not $100 more. Although I can't say enough good things about the docs at this clinic, the manager's attitude left me feeling disrespected and taken advantage of, and we will not be returning to GVH, nor continuing to recommend it to friends. Sad that such great people are being represented by such an unprofessional manager.
Could not be more impressed with Gallatin Vet Hospital. I mistakenly made an online appointment for my Mom's elderly dog for the same day when it was actually the next day. My Mom has Alzheimer's, so it would have been a big inconvenience to have to bring her and her dog back the next day. GVH was very gracious about squeezing us in. Dr Fritsche was compassionate in understanding the extenuating circumstances for treatment, given Mom's dementia and limited funds. After he took her very shy dog from the room for his eye exam, her dog kept wanting to be near him (yes, there were treats involved, but clearly her shy dog really liked the doctor!). We returned today for a followup and had an equally great experience, so much so that I am now considering switching vets for my own dog, even though it would be a longer drive. I highly recommend Gallatin Veterinary Hospital, and especially Dr Fritsche.

As we discussed privately, we understand your frustration after discovering a lower price elsewhere. We also appreciate your recognition of our doctors and the care they provide.
Our medication return policy is in place to protect the safety and well-being of all of our patients. Once a prescription medication leaves our hospital, we cannot verify how it has been stored or handled, and for that reason we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds, regardless of how briefly it was out of our possession. This policy is applied consistently to every client and is based on patient safety, not on individual circumstances.
While we understand that you were hoping for a different resolution, we did take the time to discuss your concerns, explain the reasoning behind our policy, and apologize for your disappointment. Although we respect that you disagree with the outcome, we remain committed to treating every client fairly and applying the same standards to everyone.

The vet I use in another state researched vet hospitals in Bozeman for me and Gallatin Valley Hospital was the one she recommended I use. I was very pleased with the treatment and cost for my dog. The staff is exceptional!

While on my way to Montana from Wisconsin for vacation to visit my friend. We had spent the night in a hotel for one night before coming to Montana. I woke up to my dog’s one side of his face very swollen. I called my friend and she talked to Dr Rice. He agreed to see us as soon as we got to town. He was very thorough and wanted to rule every possible thing out! He has such compassion. I have seen many veterinarians over years and have never met a vet that is as caring as he is. He asked many question and actually listened when I asked a question. Everyone I interacted with was so kind! They are simply amazing! I highly recommend going here!

The Gallatin Vet Hospital is where we take our two Labs, and we absolutely love it there.
