David is an incredible teacher, I learnt so much during my intermediate 4wk course. Everyone at the studio is so friendly and collaborative, it’s a great space, highly recommend!!

Recently took the beginner wheel throwing class and I can’t say enough good things! You really get to learn from the very start and get a much help as you might need. Our instructor, Mara, was great, super helpful, and encouraged us to appreciate the imperfections of our pieces. Can’t wait to be back to paint our pottery!

Decided at the last minute to celebrate my birthday at Gasper at their Saturday evening sip and spin event. We had a group of 7 (total 9) and we had a blast. Melvin was a great teacher. He was so patient with us and gave us some great tips and pointers. Most of us were new to the wheel and we needed a lot of support. He was so knowledgeable and approachable.
I will say that you probably won’t drink much wine - you get down and dirty quickly…. you get into it and don’t want to leave your piece at the wheel when you get into a groove.
I wish we got more clay at a time to make a larger piece rather than smaller pieces and would even benefit from another 30 minutes to an hour to really get the hang of it.
Overall, it was a great experience and would do it again.
Found the beginning pottery wheel class on Groupon and scheduled my visit, with my gf, for a Tuesday night. Mara was our teacher, with 4 other beginners there, she was super helpful, very patient, and great energy to be around. 10/10 recommend for learning something new and doing something out of the ordinary. The lady Jo on the phone was very pleasant too.
I took a beginner throwing course with my friend today and it has been one of the most enjoyable, kinda thrilling, activity we have done in a while. Silvana was our instructor tonight and honestly she was amazing. She took the time to explain everything step by step, checked in with us to ensure we were following along. I cannot wait to go back and further customize our pottery pieces by painting them after the had been fired! If you are considering checking it out, go ahead and book the session because you will not regret it!

JO was great. The staff were very patient. It was my first time doing mosaic and it was very fun. The art in the establishment is wonderful. Hailey, the gentle giant dog is a treat. There were so many different art classes to peak your interests. Pottery making, painting, mosaics, and so much more.
What a magical pottery studio!The space is welcoming, creative, and inspiring. The instructors are incredibly talented, patient, and encouraging—making the experience enjoyable whether you’re a total beginner or more experienced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a creative, hands-on experience!

It's a real pleasure working with Gasper Arts Center and their incredible staff... As an Artist+ Curator with deep roots in South Florida, I would recommend this place to anyone interested in making art or getting involved in a great studio community.
Took this tropical painting class with Nicola and absolutely loved it. We painted a tree and I’m honestly surprised how good mine turned out. The instructor was super encouraging and explained things in a way that actually made sense. Learned about undertones, which was a game changer — I never realized how much that affects depth and color. Overall just a great, relaxing class. I’d definitely do another one.
