There are some businesses you walk into and immediately feel at home. This is one of them.
The owner was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. In a world where so much feels rushed and impersonal, this shop reminds you what a true neighborhood business is all about. The sense of community and genuine hospitality is something you don’t come across very often anymore.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back.
Okay, George seems like a very kind person. I brought two dress pants to be hemmed in November. Black and beige.
After one wash, the black pants’ hem fell apart.
A week later, beige pants hem fell apart. I wore them once!
I am not sure what the issues is, is it my washing machine?? Is it the thread? Not sure but it is very frustrating because I had to bring the black pants back to be re-hemmed.
And, just today, I had to bring the beige pants back since they also fell apart, but the shop was closed. So now I have to come back AGAIN.
Let’s count how many times I need to come back:
First trip: to drop the pants off.
Second trip: came back to get the black pants fixed.
Third trip: to get the beige pants re-hemmed. Closed.
Fourth trip: wish me luck for I do not want to come back again.
Cannot recommend.

George was quick and upfront with my request. had my Brave Star raw jeans tapered while preserving the selvedge strip, he told me with the pros and cons, Love the result! Very good price point as well. Someone would charge me $70, for him it’s $25. Would certainly come here again! Recommended!
Stood there and continued his convo (that was clearly not about business) without acknowledging me when I walked in and acted as if I was bothering him when he did address me. Just very rude and bad attitude. I’d never spend my money here.
George is GREAT! his workmanship impeccable very old school done with precision his prices are very fair for the work he does. I just hope he's around for another 50 years giving US ALL great service!
I called George because my brand new suit trousers belt loop snapped! He told me to come in and fixed it right away for no charge! Great guy I highly recommend his services!
This man is an absolute treasure. Been in business 57 years. Very old school Italian loaded with stories. I came to have pants brought in, but I left with priceless stories & a fantastic conversation.
