Golden View Renovation

I had a good experience with Golden View Renovation. The team was professional, organized, and easy to communicate with throughout the project. They took the time to understand what I wanted and kept me informed as the work progressed. I appreciated the attention to detail and the care they put into the finishing work. The process was well organized, and the completed renovation gave the space a fresh and updated look. I would consider Golden View Renovation again for future remodeling or home improvement projects.

We recently completed a major home remodel with Golden View Renovation, and now that we are on the other side of it, we could not be happier with the result. This was not a small or straightforward renovation. It was a significant transformation of our home involving a large addition, extensive structural work, a completely redesigned floor plan, new kitchen and bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, roofing, windows, electrical, plumbing, finishes, and countless details that had to come together correctly. With a project of this scale, there are inevitably challenges and unexpected situations along the way. What ultimately distinguishes a great remodeling company is how they respond when those moments arise—and that is where Golden View really stood out. A huge amount of the credit goes to our project manager, Hugo Bonardi. Hugo was truly exceptional throughout the project. He took ownership, stayed engaged, communicated with us constantly, and was always focused on finding solutions rather than excuses. There were several points during construction where we ran into complicated issues and requirements with the city. Hugo and the Golden View team worked directly and persistently with the city, navigating the issues, finding solutions, and getting us through them. Having someone who could take charge during those moments made an enormous difference. Beyond project management, Hugo genuinely cared about the final product. and owned the outcome. Hugo operated with the finesse and care that is rare. He was willing to discuss the smallest details with us, accommodate changes, challenge things when he thought there was a better solution, and make sure that what ultimately got built was something we would be happy living with for years. On a project this large, that level of personal involvement is invaluable. We also want to give special recognition to Assel Teskey, our designer. Assel has an amazing eye for design that is unmatched and an incredible attention to detail. She was able to take our ideas—sometimes not very clearly articulated!—and turn them into a cohesive, sophisticated design. From the overall flow of the house to materials, finishes, colors and the little details that make a space feel finished, she brought tremendous creativity and taste to the project. Many of the things we love most about our home today came out of that collaboration. We also want to recognize Andrew, who was an important part of our experience with Golden View and was consistently supportive whenever we needed him. It really felt like there was a broader team behind the project rather than simply a contractor completing a scope of work. What we appreciate most about Golden View is that they stayed with the project all the way through. A remodel of this magnitude is a long journey. There are hundreds of decisions, inevitable changes, inspections, coordination between trades, and moments when something doesn’t go according to plan. Golden View continued working through all of it until we reached the finish line. And the finish line was worth it. Our house has been completely transformed. It feels like a new home, but more importantly, it feels like our home. The functionality, openness, design, finishes and attention to detail have dramatically changed the way our family lives in the space. We started this project with a vision. Hugo, Asel, Andrew and the Golden View Renovation team helped turn that vision into reality. For anyone considering a substantial home renovation—particularly one involving additions, structural changes and a high level of design and customization—I would absolutely recommend talking to Golden View Renovation. Five stars, and a very sincere thank you to the entire Golden View team for giving us a home that we absolutely love.

We just completed a full remodel of our bathrooms, and we decided to work with Golden View Renovations. The results are amazing. Working with Gershon as our onsite project manager was a great experience. He and his onsite team discussed all the key decisions with us and adapted to unexpected challenges quickly and professionally. They also made valuable recommendations based on best practices. Gershon kept us informed throughout the project, stayed on top of the timeline, and provided alternative solutions whenever we encountered an unexpected issue. Our goal was for our bathrooms to feel like a spa—somewhere we feel like we’re on vacation every time we walk in. Golden View Renovations delivered on that vision and even completed the project ahead of schedule. We did experience some challenges with the City of San Jose during the permitting process, which delayed the start of the project. However, once construction began, everything moved efficiently and professionally. We highly recommend Gershon and the Golden View Renovations team for projects like this.

GVR not only met, but exceeded our high expectations. We give GVR our highest recommendation. Here's why... * Licensed and bonded, their work meets codes and will pass inspection. * Their price was fair * They finished 2 weeks ahead of the original 7-week estimate * They gave an accurate estimate of the final price up front. Final price was 5% under the original estimate. * Our fabulous assigned designer, Dafne, ensured all fixtures were compatible with existing plumbing connections, made excellent design suggestions and offered a designer discount. (ex: $20/SF tiles for $8/SF). Her 3D renderings showed how all the pieces fit together, and her 2D plans showed where each component would be installed. This was an efficient way to eliminate misunderstandings. * GVR clearly communicated, responded quickly, and welcomed our questions * They were flexible when unforeseen challenges arose, gave several solutions and collaborated to resolve each issue * They worked 24 continuous days on our house sometimes staying until 7.30 PM to do the work to a very high standard, and remain on schedule * They had excellent craftsmen in every trade who gave great advice, yet respected the choices we made * They used only high-quality materials even for items we would never see, but would benefit from for many years * They treated us, our pets and our property with great respect * Every team member was an absolute pleasure to work with * GVR is a company of honorable people who take pride in their work What we did to allow GVR to do their best work * We had a well-defined vision and shared it * We watched YouTube videos to familiarize ourselves with what goes into a renovation * We understood at least one thing would not go according to plan, and stayed flexible and open to solutions * We gathered all fixtures and materials before work started * We were onsite every day to answer questions and make timely decisions * We were engaged in the project, but we didn't get in the craftsmen's way * We trusted GVR's experience and judgment and took most of their suggestions * We stayed focused on the 3 things that were most important to the design and to our comfort and convenience * We tried to keep our pets well clear of the worksite * We showed our genuine appreciation and respect every day to every craftsman * We offered Gatorade, chilled water, and snacks * We paid our invoices as soon as they came in * We invited our neighbors to come see GVR's handiwork * We recommend GVR whenever we can We had an incredible experience with GVR. Every time we use our bathroom we will feel joy thanks to these wonderful people: o Hugo and Andrew, Project Managers o Karina, Pre-Project Manager o Barry, Head of Production o Dafne, Designer o Miria, Draftswoman o Philip, Sales Manager And the craftsmen who worked on our house: o Dennis, Production Manager and Master Carpenter o Alejandro, Master Tiler o Coyo, Master Plumber o Alex, Master Electrician We loved working with these folks who supplied our fixtures: * Jennifer Wong, Excel Plumbing Supply, SF (HansGrohe shower fixtures, Toto toilet, Kartners toilet paper holder) * Vincent Sacdalan, Jack London Kitchen & Bath, Redwood City (Furniture Guild vanity, Z-Collection Origami dimensional wall tile) * Daylan Fitzgerald, Emser Tile, San Jose (BB Concrete bathroom floor tile) * Oscar Brizuela, Bedrosian's, San Jose (Le Café shower floor tile) * Gabe Hernandez, Coast Lighting, Redwood City (WAC Lighting bathroom sconce and shower niche low voltage lighting) * Eric Jacobson, Global Wood Source, San Jose (mirror frame) * Dennis Everett, The Wood Connection, San Jose (medicine cabinet) * Kyle McCauley, Manager Sherwin Williams, Sunnyvale (custom colors) Here's what we learned: * Hire a licensed firm you trust * Clearly communicate what is important to you * Plan well, then let the artisans do their job * Understand the time and expense to fulfill non-standard requests * Learn what goes into each phase of work. * Keep confirming your mutual understanding * Be prepared to compromise when the unexpected arises

We worked with Hugo from GoldenView Renovation on our full blueprint set and then completed a JADU build along with a full remodel of our main house home project. From start to finish, Hugo was outstanding in every way—professional, knowledgeable, receptive, and incredibly detail-oriented. It is truly impressive the way he listens to and reads every single question we had and always gave complete and succinct responses. In any residential construction project, challenges are inevitable—whether it’s navigating city requirements, managing plan revisions and inspections, coordinating with third parties and vendors, handling showroom deliveries, or working with utility companies on service upgrades—and Hugo handled all of it through the entire pre-construction and construction phase. He remained steadfastly professional, focused, calm, and goal oriented. What really set GoldenView Renovation apart was Hugo’s ability to manage every phase of the project seamlessly — from design coordination and city approvals to construction and final finishes. Communication was always clear and consistent; timelines were well organized, and Hugo was always available to answer questions or walk us through decisions on a daily and weekly basis. The quality of work exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall execution were excellent, and the final result looks beautiful. It is clear that Hugo truly takes pride in his work; he goes above and beyond in genuinely caring about delivering the best possible outcome for his clients. His team member Andrew also assisted in the process and was incredibly helpful and great to have on board as well. If you’re looking for a contractor you can trust for blueprints, JADU/ADU construction, new construction, and full home remodeling, I give Hugo and GoldenView Renovation my highest recommendation without reservation. They are truly exceptional. We would absolutely work with them again and couldn’t be happier with the results.

We had our two bathrooms fully remodeled by Golden View 4 years ago, and were very happy with the results. Recently we noticed a leak from the shower in one of them that was affecting the nearby flooring. Asaf and the team really came through for us, they diagnosed the problem - a shower pan leak - opened the walls to clean and mitigate mold, planned and executed a partial demolition and rebuild of the shower including an improved method for waterproofing, and restored the bathroom and walls back to original condition and full functioning. All of this and they didn’t charge us, since Asaf told us he wants to stand behind their original work and fix problems arising. Five stars for sure!

Very professional, excellent team especially Moshiko. He was very attentive. Loved his dedication and the communication throughout the project. I love my new bathroom! Our designer, Assel, created exactly what we were looking for. Something modern and functional for my growing family. I will definitely continue to use their services in the future for other projects in mind and already recommended them to my friends and family.
