I truly cannot recommend Wesley enough! He’s been training my Irish doodle since I first got her, starting with individual lessons, and most recently she did a 16 day board and train with him. When I got her back, it was like I got a brand new dog.
She is SO much calmer, more engaged with me, listens so much better, and has learned how to control her impulses. She can hold place for HOURS sometimes until I break her, she’s learned how to heel, and overall she actually listens to me and looks to me for direction now. Is she perfect? Of course not - she’s only a 6 month old puppy but the difference in her is honestly incredible.
Wesley literally speaks dog. He understands them on another level, but what I appreciate just as much is how much he teaches YOU as the owner. He answers every single question I have, and I have a lot; explains why she’s doing what she’s doing, and teaches me how to communicate with her.
If you want a dog that listens AND you want to build the best possible relationship with your dog, hire Wesley. Seriously. Worth every penny!

Cannot say enough good things about my experience with Good DaweG! My now 8 month old aussiedoodle has been to two separate board and trains with Wesley and he has learned so so much! From the start, my dog felt comfortable with him and was very receptive towards him, and Wesley always made sure I knew how to continue Dash's training on my own at home! Wesley is an incredible trainer and I couldn't recommend him enough. If you are considering taking your dog to him, this is your sign to do it!

We had a fantastic experience with Good Daweg! Wesley was great to work with and took our dog, Sadie, out to different places for real-world exposure while building solid basic commands. Since finishing her training, Sadie seems much more chill, happy, and confident. We are thrilled with the results and would absolutely recommend Good Daweg to anyone looking for effective, thoughtful dog training in Houston!

Hearing that Sadie came out of training more calm, happy, and confident is exactly the kind of result we love to see from our dog training program. Wesley enjoyed working with her and giving her real-world exposure while keeping the basics solid. We’re so glad Good Daweg could be part of that progress! Thanks for trusting us as your Houston dog trainer.

I recently enrolled my 6-month-old Goldendoodle, Nyla, in Wesley's hybrid training program, which included a two-week board-and-train and five private lessons. Throughout the entire process, I was incredibly impressed with both the training and communication.
During the board-and-train, I had the opportunity to visit Wesley and see Nyla's progress firsthand. Wesley is truly exceptional when it comes to training dogs and helping owners understand their dog's behavior. He consistently kept me updated by sending videos of Nyla's training sessions, along with demonstrations of how he corrected behaviors. These videos helped me better understand how to reinforce commands and address issues at home.
What sets Wesley apart is that he doesn't just train your dog...he takes the time to educate and train the owner as well. His approach is thorough, professional, and tailored to ensure long-term success for both the dog and the family.
I would 100% recommend Wesley and Good Dawg to anyone looking for respectful, effective, and comprehensive dog training. The results speak for themselves, and the knowledge and support he provides are invaluable. 10/10, highly recommend!

We love to hear that Nyla’s hybrid dog training program felt so smooth from start to finish. Being able to see her progress during the board-and-train and keep communication strong along the way is exactly the kind of experience we aim for as trusted dog trainers in Houston. Wesley will be glad this stood out. Thanks for trusting Good DaweG!

We enrolled our Standard Poodle puppy, Ruby, in Wesley’s in-home training program, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Wesley is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and practical in his approach. He didn’t just train Ruby—he trained us, too.
Ruby came to us full of energy and puppy mischief, and Wesley helped us establish structure, consistency, and effective communication. Because the training took place in our home environment, the lessons were immediately applicable to our daily routine and the challenges we were actually facing.
Wesley was always responsive, encouraging, and invested in our success. We saw significant improvements in Ruby’s obedience, behavior, and overall ability to settle and listen. The tools and techniques he taught us continue to make a difference every day.
If you’re looking for a dog trainer who is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about helping both dogs and their families succeed, I highly recommend Wesley.

Ruby was such a bright, lively pup to train, and it’s great to hear the in-home work helped bring more structure to her days. Training the humans is usually the real secret, so that part made me smile. I’m glad our in-home dog training could make things practical and clear for your family. Thanks for choosing Good DaweG as your trusted Houston Dog Trainer!

I had Jasper, my 9 month old German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, for a 2-week board and train with Anthony. Anthony offered great advice along the way and Jasper came back having learned so much! Stay, place, heel, and improved impulse control. I mainly wanted work with excited reactivity to other dogs, which they said could take longer than 2-weeks to accomplish. Jasper is much more manageable after spending time with Anthony, in regards to reactivity. I am very pleased with my experience and with Anthony! He is a true dog whisperer!

It’s great to hear Jasper came back with such real progress after those 2 weeks with Anthony. Stay, place, heel, and better impulse control are big wins, especially for a young dog with that much energy. Working through dog reactivity can take patience, so it means a lot to know he’s already more manageable now. Thanks for trusting Good DaweG as your choice Houston Dog Trainer!

Truly cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Wesley. I sent Bodie for a 3 week board & train. Getting him in was so easy, & the communication was fantastic. Wesley even provided tips to try in the brief period before Bodie was with him. I received regular updates & check-ins. Even now that Bodie is home, Wesley still checks in & offers advice. Bodie went from being very high strung & excited reactive with almost no impulse control to now he can go on off-leash adventures and be an all around better citizen.

Bodie's journey with us was a treat and a pleasure. I very much enjoyed being a part of it! Thanks for choosing Good DaweG as your dog trainer in Houston.

Good DaweG is the best place for dog training! 5 stars all day. Wesley is amazing with dogs and pups. His passion and commitment to his work is evident with his training skills. Thanks to Wesley, we can now confidently take our dog, Omer, everywhere we go. Omer stays so well behaved in public, out to dinner, in crowded places, and he goes to work daily with us. 🙏❤️ Highly recommended dog trainer in Houston!

I took my 10-week-old Bernedoodle puppy, Roux, to spend two weeks with Wesley at Good DaweG for a board-and-train, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Wesley was incredibly professional and amazing to work with from start to finish. He communicated often with updates, photos, and videos showing Roux’s progress and how she was adjusting, which gave me so much peace of mind.
After having a poor experience with a breeder-recommended trainer for our last dog, Wesley was truly a breath of fresh air. His approach is patient, consistent, and clearly rooted in a genuine love for dogs.
We’ve had Roux home for a couple of weeks now, and she’s doing incredible- confident, well-mannered, and eager to learn. She’s even been teaching her big sister, Winnie, some of the good habits she picked up from Wesley! I’ll be taking both of my dogs back to him once the youngest is six months old for obedience training. I would recommend Good DaweG to anyone looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and caring trainer.

Did a 1 week board and train for my 5 month cane corso and Wesley was responsive with updates and took time to share advice (and even concerns) during and after the boarding. He seems to genuinely love his job and it shows. Will enroll my other pups as well.
