This vet practice is the most caring and responsive of any vet I’ve experienced with my 4 dogs. And they squeeze in emergencies for my Sr doodles. One of my golden doodles died suddenly before getting to this vet for care, and their entire staff sent me a wonderful sympathy card, letting me know how sad they were that I lost my dog. That kind of customer service means the most to a dog owner.

They took the time to address my concerns and help me understand the possible causes of the skin issues and the best steps to take for treatment and relief. I truly appreciate their care, patience, and compassion. It’s reassuring to have a vet who genuinely cares about the health and well-being of your pet. I would definitely recommend this veterinary office to other pet owners!

Update:
Just as I’d mentioned before, their people are truly nice folks, and they’ve reviewed my account fortunately, apologized for all the riff-raff and little miss Lady-butt and I are just regular going folks now; Which is still a bit spendy, but at least we’re not paying extra these days.
Just take care to pay close attention to your bills with them, and you’ll be okay.
Lovely people, great care, but my wallet has filed a formal complaint.
Let me start with the good: the staff here is genuinely kind and they take good care of my puppy. If you care about that sort of thing, the office seems to be Christian-run. A friend recognized the instrumental music in the lobby as faith based. I only come here because it's close to my house. My usual vets are in Roswell and Milton, which I still use for emergencies and grooming.
Now the part I wish someone had told me: they are noticeably more expensive than most vets in town, and I would not recommend the puppy wellness plan. I can't speak for the adult plans, but here's how the puppy one went for me:
The "free baths" tend to be literally just baths. If your puppy needs gland expression and happens to be a wiggler, that may not be part of the deal.
The spay surgery is advertised as covered. What isn't mentioned is the exorbitant required medications that are not included, plus anything else that comes up, plus whatever your pup gets sent home with before and after. So the couple hundred dollars you signed up to save disappears very fast.
In my case the plan may have actually cost me more. Being on it kept me coming back here for things I'd normally go elsewhere for, like their exceptionally expensive tests for worms, parasites, and urinary tract infections. Oh and I’ve had to pay for comprehensive exams almost every single visit, which are almost a hundred each, despite being on a wellness plan since the first day we came in.
For perspective, I've spent nearly two thousand dollars in about 3 months. My puppy is 6 months old. At this rate she'll have cost a few grand before her first birthday, and she doesn't even have a job. Little Lady O is cute, but good golly gosh!
One last tip for small dog owners: small breeds can go into heat sooner than big ones, so you may need to schedule the spay earlier than their general recommendation. Watch your own puppy for signs, not the calendar.
Bottom line: good vet, nice people, but read the fine print on that wellness plan, and be warned that your wallet will look like it's on one of those Hollywood diet shots. Simparica Trio and vaccinations are all we actually got on this plan, and that single refunded fee you see there is from their multiple overcharged billing issues when they switched payment processors. Not any actual refunding on any of the erroneous additional fees. I’d strongly advise to go elsewhere.

After extensive research, we decided to try Good Doog East Cobb location. We have been patients for 20 + years of different Vet, so moving our boys to a new Vet Clinic was very sensitive subject…Today we had an appointment for annual check up with Dr. Alvey.. Doctor and her amazing Team spent 3.5 hours with us !!! Unreal!!!!🙏 Constant conversation, updates after every test, detailed explanations of X Rays , conditions of our dog, what to be concerned in the future, what needs to be done asap, and trust me that was not an up sale, I am in sales business:)
When I didn’t understand Dr. Alvey and her Team took all time needed to explain all in details. Honestly, I wish my Human doctors would be so dedicated :)
We are extremely happy that we found a home for our boys , Team whom we can trust !!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Alvey and her entire team. When Rudy became sick and we eventually had to say goodbye, Dr. Alvey and her team were there with so much compassion, patience, and kindness. They treated Rudy with such gentleness and dignity, and they treated me with just as much care. I never felt rushed or pressured, and they made an unbearable moment a little easier. Rudy was my best friend and so deeply loved. I will always be grateful that he spent his life being cared for by people who loved him right alongside me. Thank you, Dr. Alvey and team, for loving my boy and for being there for both of us until the very end.

I am almost 12 years old, and recently my mom and dad had to bring me to Good Dog Vetinary Care. This was my first time in the clinic. Wow. From the nice area out front to do my business to the very nice staff that greeted us, we were impressed. When my dad said he was here for his daughters appointment, they smiled and asked if that was me. Now, I am a cockapoo, and my poodle was showing, but Dr. Terrell was so nice, and explained everything, and made certain we were all happy and informed. They even had a nice decorated bag with my name, to carry some medication. When it came to the day of my procedure, I was scared, and they understood, gently picked me up and cuddled me. I did give my mom and dad the guilty look that clearly said, I deserve major spoiling later....and when they came to pick me up, everyone was as kind as ever. Ieft with my tail waging and a smile....I liked them, lots! I just wish they could have prescribed some anxiety medication before my procedure. My dad really needed them.

Last Thursday 9/10 we bid farewell to our lovely 15 year old Lhapso Apsa - Yorkie mix (Tito), a heartbreaking experience to say the least. We extend Dr. Terrel and Emily (Case Manager) a heartfelt THANK YOU for their compassion in how they treated us and Tito during this painful ordeal (painful for us the humans). They were gentle with Tito and stayed with us during the process to put him him in a deep and painless sleep stating, allowing our goodbyes and our tears, as they monitored Tito until 'he crossed the bridge'. Thanks again for your empathy and compassion. Blessings.

We're new to area and so grateful to have this place so close to home. My little one apparently got into something he wasn't supposed to & it messed up his stomach. I called here and got a super friendly and helpful reception over the phone. She offered a same-day appointment but I opted for the next morning. No problems booking at all.
When I arrived, I was warmly greeted, checked in quickly and efficiently, and taken to a room immediately. No wait. No fuss.
An attendant came in within 2 minutes of our arrival to get our details and to let us know what to expect and took my boy for his stats. So friendly!
Dr. Terrell came in a short time later with, I swear, a ray of sunshine. She was friendly, listened to my concerns, asked a few questions, and gave me some encouragement that my 4-legged baby would be ok. I feel comfortable and confident that my DukDuk will get good care here, so we have found our vet home!
The front desk even made up the cutest, personalized goodie bag when we left. After all that, I expected my bill to be astronomical, but they’re actually affordable.
